It's the energy drinks and attitude towards them that I find unsettling. In his AMA with Mathil, and I take it with a grain of salt, he mentioned drinking 14 red bulls in one day, which is alarming even as an outlier.

Alternative sleep schedules seem manageable and sustainable in comparison.

I gamed pretty hard in my early 20s. Went 3-4 days a few times, it's a decidedly strange experience. As if real life itself is a dream, a surreal one.

About Ziz: 14 redbulls is... I don't know, I would't be surprised if using amphetamines is less harmful.

I could be wrong but I remember hearing they got the idea for redbull from thai taxi drivers that would drink this black sludge that let em stay up for days at a time and clock more hours working. Apparently they changed the formula up for the West and added fizz and turned it piss yellow instead of black.

Also, Amphetamines can be fun, in small dosses. I wouldnt wish a multi day bender on anybody though.

Before Red Bull, the first energy drink (that I recall) came out. It was during the hype when various city councils were talking about actually trying to ban things like coca cola and pepsi because of the sugar (not corn syrup which gives you an idea of how long ago it was) and caffeine. The company came out with a cola that had "twice the sugar and twice the caffeine" to give you more energy. About 1.5-2 years later, IIRC, that cola was banned.

^ I remember them banning these too which were essentially what you just mentioned. Nothing but sugar and caffeine like3-4 cans of coke worth each.



Now we have 4loko, mix your energy drink with alcohol! (oh god..)

I can't respect streamers who are killing themselves slowly, so, like, if they die... *shrug*
