Tremor Rod: mine detonate additional time & Saboteur: Demolilition Specialist

The idea of 'Mines can be Detonated an additional time' is good as it boost the damage of mines.
However, the re-arm time sounds too long (or bugged) as it takes 1~1.5 seconds to re-arm as what I observed. This makes the biggest feature as well as this unique item almost useless.
It seems like a 7L but the 35% less mine damage makes it become a 6L (if not worse).
The only useful stat are the increase spell damage and mine laying speed which totally not worth as a 2 hand weapon.
I wish the re-arm time should be shorter (~0.25 seconds after the mine animation finished). 0.25s sounds low but when playing the real game, it's still long.


I appreciate the minefield gem introduction to the game, but the Saboteur's notable Demolilition Specialist is way less impressive than the Chain Reaction of traps. The 30% chance to place an additional mine is not helpful when you are already placing 3 mines at once, not to mention it's very unstable and unreliable.
I wish Demolilition Specialist provide a real feature rather than only giving some minor bonus and random damage. It is not helpful for mines and not showing the real feature of a ascendancy class.

mines have a "re-arm time"?

isn't mine laying speed the limiting factor on how fast you place mines if you can detonate them immediately by supporting a detonate mines gem with spell totem and faster casting and place it near monsters?

when this build came up some time ago, mana was the only limiting factor. so limiting that it was even worth to let the scion go to blood magic on the tree.

Mines have an 'arm' time, not a 're-arm' time. After you place them they have to arm before they can detonate.

The issue is with Tremor Rod 'Detonate additional time'. It will re-arm and the re-arm time is extremely long which makes the feature useless.

triggering mines with a detonate mines gem supported by spell totem kind of avoids the arm time.

at least i didn't see one. i really hope it's intentional ;-)
