Increase golem's life
I don't know about you but i have the impression to summon my golem all the time when i run a tier 10+ map. It would be nice to increase it's life to be more comfortable to play with.

Either minion life support or set up with CWDT. Only characters that can keep golems alive for any decent amount of time otherwise are summoners.

The two week race was the last time I'll run a golem on a non-summoner. I play them for the bonus and to be a shield, which is pretty useless when they die at the start of any encounter with a tough pack. We're not going to have Perandus nonsense next time, but almost every league mod they've ever had has been something that could instantly shred golems.
They're fantastic on a summoner if you can fit them in, though. Once you hit a certain point they're never going to die again. They also do some great damage since you have damage nodes and you can use offensive instead of defensive supports. They've been great on a variety of builds for me running from one to three of either Flame Golems or Lightning Golems. Edit: If you're going for max survivability, Minion Elemental Resistance is at least as important as Minion Life. Going from 35% all res to 75% all res is a way bigger boost than Minion Life gives you. I recommend running both of them. The only other support I think's worth spending a slot on in a non-summoner build is Empower. Last edited by Jennik#1783 on May 14, 2016, 9:48:05 PM

I keep my golems on the default left click. When it goes down I can quickly shift+click to bring it back mid battle. It also keeps left click from accidentally targeting in life and death run away situations.

There are better options than minion life.
Piggy your golem with other skills that can share supports with it. For example This is a Blood Rage giving 28% attack speed, sharing supports with a Stone Golem that has over 30k life, 127 regen and 44% increased damage (for what it's worth). Not a minion life, or minion damage, or minion anyfuckinggem, or CwDT, or any minion passives in sight. He never dies, OK he sometimes does. Bloody rarely, tho. Casually casual.
