The power of selling

thats pretty much what i did in perandus league, anything that looked interesting when in a sale tab, after a while when it started to get cluttered i moved "questionable" items to the 1-2 chaos bargain b/o bins.

If it doesnt sell from there by the end of perandus league, it gets vendored like it would have in the first place.

Most of it goes back into alchs because i'm searching for that perfect (well, moderately acceptable) amulet to corrupt into +1 curse.

Today was the end of the race for me. The final count in the trading currency tab was was a little over 600 chaos, 2 exalts, 1 divine, 1 GCP, about 200 fuses, and 10 alchs. Admittedly I no lifed it pretty hard, but just take the dozen hours or so I played each day and spread them out to see how long it would take you to make all that.

Once you have a decent understanding of what makes gear good, selling is super easy. I still had a bunch of stuff for sale that was valuable.

My self found gear on death:

I'm really going to miss that belt. I don't think I've ever been so happy to identify a rare.

I'd post some stuff from my sell tabs, but I can't access those since I'm all corpsey. I had a Shavronne's Wrappings, an absolutely insane diamond ring with high added phys, high life, and 100+ resists, and tons of really good gear in general. I'd expect just what I had up for sale when I died to at least double my trade currency in the next week. Sales were already slowing down a lot due to people dying, quitting, and so on, but in a regular league I'd be raking in those orbs for sure.
I kinda envy the people willing to go through all the hassle, but good idea to make a thread about it no less.
The idea with just dumping everything into a series of sales tabs and then cheapening it over the course of a league is a decent one, too.

Isn't a "no" better than an ignore?
I took a somewhat different approach, had my share of junk too but the bulk of my cash came from selling more valuable stuff, like vagan daggers, elreon rings and other crafted jewelry. From my experience, a ring with three well rolled mods is an easier sell than a mediocre 5-6 mod one. Had some luck with decent drops, like high ES items, some challenge related stuff I sold at the right moment and a few more from Cadiro so I probably ended up with some 15ex and loose change in total without really trying.

Haven't bothered with it much before, but this public tab system made it real easy and if you don't sell piles of trash for a few alts/alchs you won't get pulled out of your map every few minutes. Probably won't bother with it again, I'm a fan of 'good enough' builds so I don't really have anything special I want to buy.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
