Alt f4

As it has been mentioned by ggg that the game's balance is centered auround alt f4 , this games balance is probably never going to be good . Imho alt f4 playstyle is just silly and a pretty unprofessional way of balancing a game . This way of balancing the game to me is a huge middlefinger to the gamer . The game could have been so insanely much better with a proffesional and good balance team .

I predict this game is dead or almost dead in about 5 years when other new good balanced lootbased games is made by other companies .

I really like this game but i am not an idiot , if its coming a better game well then i am playing that instead . I am dissapointed of ggg s lack of fokus and ability on balancing the game . Its the year 2016 and i expect/want more out of the games i play and lol i am not the only one .
So ggg do something about it when you can before its too late . Balance is EXTREMELY important in games and specially in a game like poe .

I expect this game to be dead in 5 years because that's 5 years and this is a video game. Not a lot of games stick around for 10 years. I'm kind of expecting GGG to have a new, better game out by then.

This is the kind of game that can live long if the devs do a good job . I dont think we gonna see a new game from them , i doubt they working on a new game with a small dev team they have ( also it costs money ) .

Monster dps being overtuned because of balancing auround alt f4 . This also kills build diversity . Which is very sad .

Some items ( chaos in particulary )

Also buffing unused skill gems/ uniques . Balancing is not only about nerfing .

if there are no monsters that could kill your char, there would be no occasionaly sweaty hands and increased pulse when playing the game.

poe always gave me that feeling and i probably would stop if they remove the excitement of maybe losing the battle against certain monsters.

i even try to not play overpowered builds for that reason.

to prevent alt+f4 (chickening out) a dangerous situation, they would have to leave your character in the game for a certain time after the game client disconnected for whatever reasons.

that would have more consequences than forcing a more balanced game.

ggg keeps the game interesting by shifting the game's meta around certain skills and damage types all the time.

i don't expect chaos to be that strong after the next patch. and i agree that they really overdid it by pushing chaos damage that far.

i agree with you the game should be hard , but it can be hard in a much better way . More in a way the monster behave . Some poe monsters has just high stats which very often 1 shot you ( even with insane gear ). This is the part i find extremely unfun and to be honest a very amateurish way of doing it . The potential is still there its not too late though .

You talk about meta . Any game that has a metabuild is unbalanced . The better games should have no meta builds whatsoever , never . Thats why i mentioned also buffing unused uniques and gems .
Seeing as this game is 3+ years past release, another 5 would make it one of the most successful games out there. I don't know of many games lasting 8 years.
