Dual wielding: Swords or axes?

Whats better for a no serious/up to cruel build?

I have only 90 hours in the game, So i don't know what the general idea is.

If you're only going up to cruel, I advise that you don't spec into either swords OR axes. Then you can use any drop you find that has the highest damage.

Instead, spec into "one-handed", "dual-wielding", "melee phys", or other non-weapon-specific nodes.
