{2.2} BM Explosive Arrow Burning Chieftain - WIP

Hello everyone,

This is my first build guide, hope not the last. English is not my native language, so sorry upfront for any mistakes.

Story Time

This is my second build around Explosive Arrow(EA), so this time I decided to do something different. And there not much possibilities when playing EA build :).
Before I tried 9-link EA build you can see it here and was quite fun.
In the current league - Perandus I started with Quill Rain CoC build using 5L bow and was lucky with Kaom's Hart drop. Reached lvl 90 with that character decided to try something with EA.


And here is coming the idea of a bit different EA build.
As most of the EA builds are focused mainly on the Fire Explosion DMG I decided to go for burning (DoT) DMG. With burning, Elemental Reflects are not so dangerous - big defense point.
Currently at lvl 61 I have 103%(this is from the status screen) chance to ignite :)

Numbers, Mechanics and other stuff

How to achieve 100%+ chance to ignite -this one is easy
Quality on EA - currently 15% - 15% chance to ignite
Chance to Ignite - currently lvl 14 - 43% chance to Ignite
Passives - currently 15% chance to Ignite (can go up to 25%)
Ascendancy Chieftain (Ngamahu) - 15% chance to ignite
- 10% chance to ignite
(will be changed when Chance to Ignate gem go to lvl 20)
- 5% chance to ignite
15+43+15+15+10+5 = 103%

The final configuration should be:
49% from Chance to Ignite (lvl20)
15% from Ascendancy Chieftain (Ngamahu)
5% from the Amulet
15% from Passives
16-20% from Quality EA
Total= 100-104% chance to ignite

Why we need 100% + Chance to Ignite

The idea here is to cause Ignite with every hit, before EA explode.
And we want to ignite the mobs to take advantage of
Celestial Punishment - 25% increased DMG against ignited enemies
Ascendancy Chieftain (Ngamahu) - 35% increased DMG against burning enemies
60% increased DMG are nice addon.

How to Ignite everything

First to start with the EA links I'm using:

And I'm not using LMP or GMP because of this:

Was lucky to have this corruption on the 4th try :)
And 2 arrows are more than enough to melt everything with max 3 shots.

Yes, but with 2 arrows I can't ignite everything so here is coming a little trick:

Avatar of Fire - converts 50% of the Physical to Fire = we end up with 6.5 Fire damage from the bow, enough to Ignite everything hit. And this is only from the bow.
This passive is optional, if I have Add Fire damage to attack mod on one of my rings can be skipped.

Ranged Attack Totem + Ice Shot + Chance to Ignite + Pierce
This combination has very strong offensive and defensive side.

with this jewel we have 4 total projectiles - more than enough for Igniting everything.
In combination with this:

is also cursing everything. And the Ice ground is slowing the mobs more.
And because the Avatar of Fire is not converting cone part to fire is working perfect.

Merciless - Ramako or Tawhoa (I will probably try them both)

Merciless - Kill All or help Oak

Gear Needed

Bow

5L is more then enough.

Armor

Best in class
If you don't have it or is too expensive for you (for me it is) I can recommend Belly of the Beast or Rare Armor based with high life roll and will add Fire Trap + Trap DMG + Burning DMG + Rapid Decay for Elemental Reflect dudes.

Helmet
Rare Armor based Helmet with life and resists or:

All EA builds are using it (will updated this after lvl67)

Quiver

If you want to use my configuration you will need this corruption.
Good news is that the quiver itself is very cheap, the most expensive I bought was 1 alc.
Other option here is Rearguard for Block, Armor and DMG

Gloves

With Kaom's Hart this 13% life is huge boost for life.
If you don't have them with this corruption - they cost me 55 chaos :( you can use different configuration for the totem:
Siege Ballista - Chance to Ignite - Curse on Hit - Curse (Temporal Chains, Flammability...)
This is if you want to play with curse, is not a huge boost - just nice to have :)

Boots
Rare Armor based with life, resists and movement speed

Amulet


Rings
Life, resists, added fire to attacks(in case of skipping Avatar of Fire)

Belt
Doriany's Fire belt for the Fire DMG and Leech or Leather Belt with resists.

Flasks
, Granite, Quicksilver...

Gem Links

EA + Chance to Ignite + Fire Penetration + Less Duration + Rapid Decay

My first idea was to use Increased Burning DMG instead Rapid Decay but coloring a bow GRRRB is very chromatic consuming. If I succeed with coloring will make a comparison.

Ranged Attack Totem + Ice Shot + Pierce + Chance to Ignite
replace it with Siege Ballista - Chance to Ignite - Curse on Hit - Curse for applying curse.

CwDT(max) - Immortal Call(max) - Molten Shell(max) - Increased Duration
Common sense for high life build

CwDT(lvl1) - Frost Wall(lvl1 is OK) - additional defense
Fire Golem - Minion Life

Important Stats from the Passives:

+262 to Strength
+14 to Dexterity (weak point)
+164 to Intelligence

4 Endurance Charges (10% chance to gain on Kill)
When you or your Totems Kill a Burning Enemy, 10% chance for you
and your Totems to each gain an Endurance Charge

110% increased Armour
213% increased maximum Life
6.1% of Life Regenerated per second
0.7% of maximum Life Regenerated per second per Endurance Charge
Cannot be Ignited
20% increased Life Recovery from Flasks
+1% to maximum Fire Resistance
+38% to all Elemental Resistances
+12% to Cold Resistance
+20% to Fire Resistance
+20% to Chaos Resistance
1% of Fire Damage Leeched as Life
20% increased Stun Threshold


Your hits can't be Evaded/Never deal Critical Strikes
220% increased Fire Damage
85% increased Burning Damage
58% increased Elemental Damage
100%+ chance to Ignite
60% increased damage against Burning Enemies
Damage Penetrates 15% Fire Resistance

+3 Jewel Socket

I will try to record something when fully equipped and with leveled gems.

Things to test
For T13+ maps Arctic Armor can be good choice 13% less Physical and Fire DMG for 12.5% life.
Essence Worm with Purity of Fire for Reflects.
