How to make PoE always active - block Windows from auto alt+tab?

Hi,

sometimes happen that some application wants something and from Poe it jumps into Windows = death.

How to force PoE to always be active no matter what?

One solution is to go through each program and stop his updates, but that is not solution I am looking for. I need PoE be always active. How make Windows not alt+tab me those popups/updates/warnings etc?

I don't know how to do this but I will tell you how I stopped accident Alt Tabs in my gaming 99.99%. I changed the key bind for "Highlight Items" from Alt to Space. Changed Close All Windows to something else doesn't really matter as it isn't too useful in POE.

Of course it doesn't help if your problem is fat fingering but I know it helped me immensely.

For highlighting items I would recommend U using "filtration" of items. U can set what items U want to see and hide all others.

I am very happy U can use Google and that U even give trying to give advice while the form is rather demonstration of bad behavior. But I appreciate U took Ur precious time and tried best U could.

Still on that page is not info I am looking for. I need to know how to make PoE be always on top (to be always active) and never ever by whatever application been switched to background; respectively no background application gains active role (by trigger of some impulse) while I am loosing control of PoE and PoE goes to background.

As I said turning off all scheduled(unscheduled) updates/warning etc. seems to be only way; but I hope there is some trick how to make Windows or application not to autoswitch.

play in windowed mode and move your other applications to your second monitor?

yes, I was thinking about this windowed alternative, but when playing with 3D Vision its impossible due technology. G-sync can be played windowed nevertheless that switching during fight can still be fatal as death in PoE is usually question of second or two but this solution is faster than pressing reset on machine imho.

Playing PoE on secondary monitor maybe can be solution, but not sure where cursor appears if application demands attention on primary monitor. I think it moves to primary one. I have not another monitor here right now so can not test it, but if I remember well cursor moves to the monitor where application demands attention. Can U pls clarify this?
