[2.2] PHC - The 8.4k (Life) Iron CoC Spin (w/Bladefall + EK) - Juggernaut

Disclaimer: This is currently a work in progress.

All jokes aside, the idea for this build is the unique mace Trypanon--it always crits every time it hits.

The Idea

Since this mace always crits, cast on crit is a natural choice to use with this item. Unfortunately, there are two difficulties with this item.

One, it is slow. To overcome this, we need a skill that scales attack speed a lot. Cyclone is a great choice due to it's 50% more attack speed as part of this skill.

Two, since it is a two-handed item, we need a way to get defenses. Fortunately, the Juggernaut has "Unbreakable", which doubles the armor from our chest, as well as making us stun immune. The problem is then that a high armor chest will have a higher strenth requirement than the mace, making it difficult to get the colors we need (at least two green sockets for Cyclone and Cast on Crit, and then we need colored sockets for the spells we want to use). So the best option is to link and color the mace. Doing this in Parandus HC has been a straight up nightmare, so you'll need currency to do it.

After overcoming these, the options are elemental or physical spells. I've opted for physical, as you don't have to worry about penetration gems and can just focus on scaling damage through Iron Will. There are other variants possible (e.g., elemental equilibruim CoC), but I've chosen to focus on physical spells.

Current Gear

Bandits

Normal - help Oak (life)
Cruel - help Kraityn (attack speed)
Merciless - help Kraityn (frenzy charge)

Jewels

The two important attributes you want on your jewels is % life and attack speed with maces. Attack speed is needed to help overcome the slow base attack speed on Trypanon, and mace attack speed can roll up to 8%.

I'm not sure what you mean. Most packs die by the time I finish spinning through them once. Blue packs require a few spins.

One weakness of the build currently is the single target, which runs into the same kinds of problems that Mjolner builds (needing lots of procs to cast spells). I haven't quite figured out how to solve this problem yet. Perhaps a Molten Strike single target set up?

Accuracy is the main issue of this build.

I've tested this previously, with a Voll's Protector chest and the mace, linked as:

Cyclone (level 1)
Cast on Crit (level 19)
Blade Vortex (level 1)
Discharge (level 16)

The blade vortex generates charges fast enough for discharge to keep nuking mobs.

Without the blade vortex charge mechanics (slower, but charge generation still happens), I experienced plenty of cyclone spins missing the targets, thus not generating any charges whatsoever.

Ideal setup:

Cyclone - CoC - Blade Vortex - Discharge - Ice Nova - Iron Will
(GGGBBR)

The Voll's protector can be ignored entirely if you manage to get your hands on a Voll's Devotion amulet, but the issue still remains: accuracy rolls needed on gear.

Also, Elreon pieces: 2x rings + amulet, with -8 rolled.

id say...
8 min gorge run is unacceptable in current clearspeed standarts.

Yeah, it's not the most efficient clear.

However, I recently changed out Determination for Hatred and swapped my heal-over-time life flask for another defensive flask. This has helped the clear speed quite a bit, and is now more like a 5-6 min Gorge run. I'll record a video to reflect this change.
