Umbilicus Immortalis and Pathfinder not working.

I've been testing this combination:

Umbilicus Immortalis


Pathfinder Ascendancy Class


So the belt states:
- Flasks do not apply to You
- Flasks apply to your Zombies and Spectres

All working fine, flask effects are applying to those minions... tick.

Pathfinder node "Nature's Adrenaline" states:
- 15% increased Movement Speed while using a flask
- 20% increased Attack Speed while using a flask

None of these work. The minions don't receive the benefit, which is understandable if they're only to receive the effects of flasks... but I also don't receive the buff. I might not be receiving the benefits of the flask, but I am certainly "using" it to apply the effects to my minions.

Seems a waste of time leveling a character, and building into an interesting Flask build, only to find the Ascendancy modifiers don't apply to either.

Also, it seems odd that increased cast speed was left out of "Nature's Adrenaline", but no big deal.

that is a bummer, i would have thought it would work the way you describe (initially) the fact that you get no bonuses at all is lame. viper does have a point though, now that i think about it.


sounds too me like you need to cut your losses and roll a nercomancer. you can still do your flask build using her instead of a ranger.

Flask don't state specifically what the duration applies to: effect or use... flasks simply state "Lasts X seconds".

There needs to be more clarity if GGG are trying to promote flask builds and synergies.

It should definitely say 'while under the effects of a flask' if that is what is meant.

Or 'while under the effects of a flask that you used' if they want to be really specific, to prevent some strange future interactions.

Thanks for putting up this post. I was going to build this. Assuming nothing has changed here so no reason to waste time trying to build an umbilicus pathfinder. Based on the wording of the ascendancy nodes, I was sure I would get the ascendancy benefits while the minion flasks were up.
