spectral throw support

i would like it if spectral throw had a support gem or jewel making it not boomerang but have greater range. unless you have faster projectile support somehow the range is really aweful, and i think it would look good if the projectiles didn't boomerang.

Well there is Vaal Spectral Throw, which has been the main skill of some builds (a bit expensive).

So many cool skills are gated by the Vaal system. I think Vaal Spectral Throw could be easily dropped and be an alternative to spectral throw similar to Blink/Mirror Arrow.

yes projectile speed is very very important with spectral throw
the 30% projectile node from deadeye ranger or 20% scion deadeye is good, you can get some projectile speed from the jewels, and there is that 20%proj speed at the start of the ranger

50-60% projectile speed should be enough and easy to get

Do you know it would halve its damage, right? You probably wouldn't be able to kill bosses even from mid tiers maps anymore if it didn't double damage thanks to the boomerang thing, it is a skill with a really low dps already.

About the projectile speed, i can't tell if it is how you are building, but i don't have any problem, even not using faster projectiles gem it outscreen mobs only with the tree nodes.
Sometimes...

ok then the support gem or jewel could enhance the damage to make up for it
asdf
so you basically ask for a gem to turn the very unique skill spectral throw into a casual direct damage spell like the many weve got already? yes, makes sense. not.
Spectral Throw is fine how it is.

They could instead add a new skill, called "Tosser", where you throw your weapon without it coming back like a boomerang.

Since it does not return, it would do more damage and have better proj speed as default.
