Versatile Combatant - Gladiator ascendancy

Noob question: picking Versatile Combatant will make all my block chance be applied to spell (so I will always have 0% chance to block to physical damage) or I will the same chance for both physical and spell?

This may looks very dumb, but when I read "100% of Block Chance applied to Spells" it looks ambiguous to me, can also be interpreted as I will always block spells (which would be crazy).

It means that whatever your block chance is for attacks, you now have the same chance to block spells. It doesn't remove your chance to block attacks (although the unique shield Saffell's Frame does exactly that), and it certainly doesn't mean you always block spells!
