Lightning strike mechanics questions

So what I know about lightning strike is that there is two separate portions to the attack, a projectile and a melee portion. They are not dependent on each other in terms of scaling, and are calculated separately.

What I want to know is if I'm attacking a mob in melee range, does it get hit by both the melee attack and the projectile, or just the melee attack?

Also, are the crit rolls also separately calculated? IE, my melee attack can crit but the projectile does not (this becomes relevant when you have things like "melee critical strike chance").

Yes, both are effective. And if you have enough "pierce chance" you can hit to others with same -pierced- projectiles.

No. Im not sure but "no" i think. If you can deal crit with melee attack, all seperate damage sources should deal crit hit. But as i said, im not sure about it.
Neden yaşıyorsun?
