help dude whant fee for headhunter(cadiro sell)

Holy shit guys.. this guy made this thread to ask if he could get away with scamming. He literally did this exact scam except with Skyforths to me the other day. Logged out with my 5ex. I feel like a complete idiot, but I needed a reason to quit anyway.

all RMT'ed
I don't know what's more sad. These scammers ruining the game experience or that instead of uniting to ban those kind of people players preffer to laugh at the victims face.......
This same guy that complains about getting scammed just did the same trick to me. He was offering Skyfoorth from Cadiro, asking 9ex fee, 6ex before and 3ex afterwards. So I gave him the 6ex and he run away.
Hope you get the justice you were demanding for. Anyway lesson learnt.
To anyone reading this, dont trust any player from <RED> guild (RussianExileGuild).

Lot of people just need to feel better than someone else at least in a game unfortunatly.
I think even the OP is just a scanner trolling in the forum with a lot of people just buying the bait :P

By the way with Cadiro is so easy to scam that everybody should not trust. I mean you cannot trust even with services if you don't know the guy or you don't have some previous feedback on him. Or at least it's worth the risk only if you can live with the loss if something goes bad.

They got scammed because they got greedy and believed someone would allow them to buy their "skyforth boots" for a "fee" to profit from it.

They weren't tricked into it. They took a gamble to trust a person, there was no contract to uphold such a thing.

Well, ppl who are lead by pure greed, give currency to for them total unknown players in hope to hit the big jackpot just deserve a ... *shrug*

Don't get me wrong, scammmers should be punished, but my sympathize for victims of their own behaviour isn't big at all.

GGG saves chat logs so they should be able to take action against players who renege on an agreement involving paid services.

They just choose not to. And they don't let us give reputation feedback in any official capacity (or even name/shame on the forums), so really it's a big green light to be a shit and rip everyone off, which means you either avoid co-op / service trades & minimally interact with the general population or join in and (a) be a super cautious/guarded/untrusting paranoid stingy bastard or (b) become one with the toxic shit pile and try to out shit everyone else.

Blizzard is the complete opposite, in that they'll punish the offending player and make the victim whole again by restoring items, currency, etc.

Perhaps Blizzard's data analytics & monitoring is just better. While GGG saves all chat it's possible they haven't implemented the capability to check trade/vendor transactions (including items dropped on the ground by a player). Which would be scary since that's the primary method of tracking & shutting down all the accounts of RMTers/botters who use multiple IPs, computers, proxies, emails, etc.

GGG probably receives a lot of reports per day about various scams and decide the sheer volume of necessary disciplinary action would make any protectionist policy cost prohibitive. But once a precedent is set, with a clear code of conduct defined and widely disseminated, complaint volume will drop, because most people will stop being shits.

Taking a hands off approach is one thing but it only works if you allow all free market principles, including deal history with feedback (i.e. sticky reputation) and public scolding. GGG does the reverse and changes account names of scammers so yeah, green light.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.
@vlad: actually i don't thin GGG should spend resources on this, even because Cadiro is actually an exception of this league and trade is actually safe usually.

It's true that even services can be scammed but the guys that usually run services to have fun or make profit use forum threads as a feedback, so it's actually safish if you check in advance.

I really dislike scammers and i don't feel contempt at all for scammed people, but after the first time one should learn.
