(2.2) Need help for Melee counter tank

So this is my first one no clue how it will fair, was looking for some input. Builds going to be using the Varunastra as the main weapon with a shield. I'll have the starting point be the Duelist going towards either champion or gladiator. The other option was for marauder into juggernaut, but for the current tree I'm using gladiator. Main skills will be Tempest shield, Riposte, Reckoning, and Vengeance with either ice crash or earthquake. Ice crash and earthquake can be swapped for any other skill that would be better for this type of build but those where some I had thought looked good.



So far I have 18 points left over with room for plenty of flexibility. Depending on if I need more life, damage, life leech, jewel slots or any other type of nodes. Still not sure about the life leech nodes and if I should get rid of them or go for more. Any help would be appreciated.
