How to speed run the Lab

After having to run the labyrinth 10-11 times to finish it on normal (I crashed and DCed a lot), I eventually learned some usefull information that may help those people than only want the reward of the Acendancy classes.
My experience is based on 7 runs made on the day 1 normal lab and 4 runs in the 2nd day lab.
As a casual gamer, I was able to finish the last run in under 20 minutes. And I had to do it that fast, because my internet would DCed me otherwise (I was playing in a place with unstable connection).

1.- Always go to the TOP - RIGHT.

If you dont want any of the silver keys and hidden secrets, the fastest way to the next room is to go as far as you can to the top and to the right. Almost all zones that I was in eventually led me there.

2.- A POEM in the ground means you are on your way.

Following the first tip, if you run across a poem then for sure you are on the right track.

3.- If you find a golden door DONT PANIC. The zone where the golden key is hidden is really close to the door.

Most of the time, the zone was a little bit to the left of the golden door. Golden doors seems to be always required for continuing your run.

4.- If you find a cluster of traps, STOP AND THINK.

I had a lot of close calls when I got desperate and started to rush throught traps, and I eventually died 2 times to them. The puzzles to continue foward are simple enough, just stop, look at the pattern, check where you can safely stand and go step by step. When you get good you will lose at much 30 seconds.

5.- If you want to rush through traps, check your flasks.

Having quicksilvers and inta-heal flasks helps a lot. Fire resistance mitigates the fire floor.

6.- Monters are there to fill your flasks.

You dont have to kill every monster you find. Always prioritize going foward. You only kill them when you need more flask charges for your quicksilvers and healing flasks.

7.- Dont open any optional doors. Dont try the darkshrines.

They will lead to eathier an optional puzzle to get more loot (with a lot of traps) or to Izaro's pet. Both of them will slow you down a lot. Darkshrines are there for the people that want more loot, but they are add a huge risk.

8.- Always check the map when entering a room.

You want to get to the end as fast as possible. No time to waste on a zone that doesnt allow any progression. Always check how many exits a room has.

9.- Movement skills are usefull.

Leap slam and lightning warp will help a lot in certain trap clusters.

10.- If you are stressing yourself, stop the labyrinth and go do something else.

If you DCed, or died a couple times to traps or Izaro, take a break and try later. Being relaxed helps a lot when solving puzzles.

I hope these help a bit. I only basing this on my own experience on two versions of the labyrinth (first and second day), so I can be wrong in a lot things.

About Izaro, we dont know what kind of damage his abilities do yet(fire, lightning, phys..). I hope r someone will eventually test how to take on him the easier way.

If anyone has anything to add, please do so. I dont think I will keep this updated tho.

This has been fairly accurate in my experiences as well, so I support this mini guide
Sounds about right. Hope it holds true for future labyrinths.
It will convert your forum titles into decorative square badges that use the space next to your forum posts more economically so that you can show off an unlimited number of them at any one time. - GGG, 2018 (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3573673)
One thing I would add is that quartz flasks are god-tier in the lab if you're going for a speed run.

Also, poacher's mark is likewise amazing to keep up your charges.

These are the two things that have helped me a huge amount between my first and last few runs.
