totem + power charge generation

I want to know about working new talents from ascendancy tree and totems.

occultist : Forbidden Power
10% chance to gain a Power Charge on Critical Strike
+1 to Maximum Power Charges

or
assasin :
Unstable Infusion
10% chance to gain a Power Charge on non-Critical Strike

Anoyne tested it? im rly curious.

Neither will give you power charges if the totem is the one hitting and killing. Best bet is the Scion Hierophant node that gives you 20% chance for a power charge on when placing a totem.

Although 20% sounds like much, it's terrible. I have to resummon my totem 20 times while izaro is preparing just to get 3 charges.

It may be old fashioned, but I reckon the best way for totem builds to get power charges is still to spam Ice Spear - GMP - PCoC in downtime.

I'm sad that the Heirophant's power charge gaining node doesn't work for totem kills. Seems like they should have added that in I think.
