[2.2] Bringer of Entropy (is Zivko's build trully back in the business?)

I wonder if anyone still remembers the original Zivko's/Ogrec's block/spell block build. It was heck of a boss tank/killer those days. So, when I saw the Gladiator Ascendancy class tree for the first time I immedietaly recalled that build. Now I can report that I have put it together really fast and well, it just works. Feeling of tankiness is as good as I remember it was with original build.

Now will this work with non-legacy items? Short anserw - Yes. Long anserw:

With non legacy items you will loose 11% chance to block BUT not spell block as this will be still pretty much capped due to the overall 125% of block chance aplied to spell block. And even though you have 62% chance to block attacks its still high enough and you have "chance to evade" and "physical dmg reduction" underneath it. So all defences combined with legacy items you have: 16% chance to get hit with attacks and 22% chance to get hit by spells. With non legacy this becomes: 22% and 22%. So you will loose only 6% of hit avoidance. Not that big of a deal.

This build feels tanky. It utlizes block and very good leeching (~ 1,2k hp/s) to outleech any damage that passes through RNGs defences. The downside is movement speed but that can be counteracted by utilizing very fast leap slams.

In terms of Hematophagy vs Vitality Void keystones (both are 5 points range). I've done the math and veryfied it in game. Vitality Void is better. Yes you will loose 20% dmg increase while leeching but thats not a game changer you know. What you gain though is leech from every type of dmg source. And with this setup (HoA + Hatred) around 40% of your total dmg will be elemental. And theres 20% faster leech rate on top of that. Also when you're lacking mana leech on gear there's mana leech node for 1 point that will be more than enough.

Which gladiator nodes did you take?

Looks awesome. I was planning on doing a facebreaker gladiator with meginord's, great old one's way, anvil, etc... just all about maxing that phys damage range but I might swerve into your build and test it out :D. Pretty similar trees.

Versatile Combatant is a priority to provide 100% of block chance to spell block.

Than I took Violent Retaliation to gain some dmg and movement speed buff on block. This helps with movement reduction from The Anvil amulet.

Which bandits do you suggest with this build? How's the dps feel especially in a non-legacy version? Planning to swerve off my facebreaker in Perandus and opt for this :D.

I went with all passive points. But 2 passives and 40hp from normall Oak will be also solid. The attack speed from Kraityn is not really needed as this build does 6,5 aps allready.

So does that attack speed from 1h's on the small gladiator nodes work with Entropy? Or some lost value :(?

I got the Gratituous Violence node. Explosions all around that help with pack clear speed. Riposte is pretty darn good. Cleared tier 11-12 maps today.
Which node did you sacrifice for it? Violent Retaliation?

Does the gladiator bleed itself deal damage anyhow? Or is it just a setup for the explosion and 30% increase?

Yup, Violent Retaliation. I don't like situational stuff so I went with something I can use actively. The bleed is meh, considering I use Cyclone, but the rest is good.
