" Um, if the 4% stacks it's the strongest node in the game. You see that, right? If it doesn't stack it's an effective ~12% more multiplier with a 3x curse build which is OK but if it stacks it's completely bonkers. +4% of total non-chaos damage added as extra chaos damage per curse per kill for 4 seconds = easy +240% extra damage (effectively a 240% more multiplier, that's reflect proof) for 3x curse blasphemy build, if you can kill 20 monsters every 4 seconds (7+ seconds if it benefits from skill effect duration bonuses). Does anyone know how it stacks? Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Any monster based "take" modifier is multiplicative with the damage dealt, so a more multiplier to your base value. Similar to https://www.pathofexile.com/ascendancy/classes/Inquisitor auguri of penitence from inquisitor. I don't really have sources though, just realized i could find similar wording on these. I just "know" this from my own experience in-game. It's arguable whether you can interpret "x% increased damage taken [on target]" as "x% more damage dealt [by player]." That relationship definitely holds true most of the time (when you otherwise have 0% of that stat), but when you combine increased damage taken modifiers, they should subject to diminishing proportional returns just like any other increased modifier. The thing is that damage taken modifiers are rare enough that this doesn't happen in vast majority of builds.
Example: Taryn's Shiver "Enemies Frozen by you take 20% increased Damage" if GGG mechanics are consistent, the curse boost would then raise that to 30% increased damage taken, which equates to 1.3/1.2 = 8.33% more damage. 8.33% and 10% are not that much but still a nitpick worth making in case sources of increased damage taken start to pile up as the game grows. " i've been looking for simliar wording, Taryn's Shiver for example, and it really seems to work like a multiplier. it just stacks additively with other effects that increase enemy damage taken. good to know...thx Qvis contra nos ?

50% chance of 10% maximum Life = average of 5% maximum Life
20% chance of 25% maximum Life = average of 5% maximum Life So really it's just as strong either way, on average. The only difference is that explosions are less common but more meaningful. Overall, I think the 20% chance version is better design. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
