Is 60 block enough ?
Hi poe maniacs,
I have a question related to block chance. In new Pandarus League I would love to play duelist (gladiator subclass) crit, phys Spectral Thrower ;), from the tree and items i can get 60% of block chance at level 94 with good offences and deffences. And here is my question : Do 60 % block chance is realy enough to worth taking Gladiator ? Don't realy want to waste item slots to get this addtional block chance to spells couse of crit build... Maybe i should invest in new Reckless defence jewel ? I'm a little bit afrait of this addtional 10% chance to get critical strikes. Thank you guys in advance for positive exchange of vievs and sorry for my bad english ;) Torment IGN: BorsukMiodowy

" That's 'Pandaria' for you, fellow maniac. Having 60/60 block is very good these days, dunno what you intend to hunt but it should make you plenty tanky versus anything but damage over time. If you don't have the equipment leeway to get spell block, Gladiator is very much worth it. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

It should be fairly easy to reach 60% block with the gladiator ascendancy class. So why don't you go all the way to 75? You'd cut incoming damage by another 37.5% thus increasing your ehp by 60% with merely 15% block extra.

id leave it at 60 and invest into other defensive layers. if you have just 75% block(s) and nothing else the 25% hits are still deadly.
movement speed, ev, ar, mana reservation node for that extra herald or curse etc are all worth more imo than capping block no matter the cost also - Rumi's flask solves all block problems no problems |

ya 60/60 is super strong. People lose their shit over phase acro which is a 30% spell avoid and to get it you have to obliterate your armour and energy shield potentials.
Youll take 60% less spell damage than a regular build, its pretty intense mitigation. As sid says, you can always get a Rumis. Maybe doesnt seem worth it for 15% but that 15% is really nice, also if you get the flask you can then ask yourself if you can drop a less effective point cost passive block cluster or ditch the anvil if youre using that, come down to 50-55% somewhere, cap to 75/75 with the flask up then use those freed up resources to get other stuffs. Might be that a taste of hate is better as a flask and then just do block passively, theres new flask bases... all just food for thought at this point. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Even 75% is not enough if you want to bring out the best in Glaidiator. I am playing 78%
