[2.2 Theorycraft] Assassin DoT

Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone! I am looking for some advice on a DoT based build using the Assassin Ascendancy Noxious Strike (30% chance to cause bleed on hit and 40% to poison on hitting a bleeding enemy)

Passive Tree-


Tree Summoner and Bandit Rewards

127% Increased Chaos
62% Melee Physical
170% Increased life
4% Life Regen
+3 Frenzy Charges
15% Of physical added as Chaos

For Bandits: Oak(HP), Oak(Physical damage), Kraityn(Frenzy Charge)


In the tree I prioritize general Physical Damage, Chaos Damage and Damage over time. The only weapon specific nodes are picked up going into the duelist starting zone. This gives you some flexibility in what weapon you would like to use.

You could even go Projectile dmg and use a bow since Projectile Damage will double dip increasing both first hit and the DoT.

Main Skill: Reave - Melee Physical - Faster Attacks - Increased Area - Fortify (6th link either added chaos or reduced area)

Second: Frenzy - Melee Physical - Faster Attacks - Bloodlust

Auras: Blasphemy - Vulnerability and Haste.

Other Useful skills I would run would be Flicker strike (faster attacks) - Bloodrage and Fire golem


I am not too sure on what specific Uniques would be great besides Bino's Kitchen Knife of course.

Updated with more info. I know this build wont be Meta or super strong but I plan on testing it out. I wanted to try and make a different DoT build not using Poison support gem but I feel maybe just running it and changing a couple things could make a better build haha.

Anyways let me know what you think. Any advice would be great :)
