Convert Fire to Lightning

"Converted damage cannot be converted back to the same damage type" may be another option.
Thus, lightning damage can be converted to cold damage and further converted to fire damage, but this part of lightning -> cold -> fire cannot be converted back to lightning no matter what. So it will only end at fire. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

An infinite loop is always moving forward; there is no backwards to forbid.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

From boredom i will show one of possible solutions closest to endless loop.
Concept is based on mechanic considering damage taken as. Since damage taken as conversions are made in one step, it can be applied to endless loop in finding the solution.
first, how damage taken as mechanics work.
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Damage_conversion#Taken_as
" Applying this one step conversions in several steps the damage numbers towards elements starts to approach specific values. Same values can be achieved assuming that within conversion loop is flowing same amount of damage, which means that amount of lightning damage converted to cold equals to cold damage converted to fire which equals fire damage converted to lightning. Interestingly this method concludes to that that there are no longer any difference what base elemental damage was used, you will always end up with same converted damages only dependently on conversion rates (third example). Here are couple of random examples: legend: dark green- values obtained through formulas dark red- values obtained through stepping yellow- base elemental damages blue- conversion rates (urmm, first column cold damage, second fire, third lightning :P)

![]() The equations I used are really really simple, thou using differential equation results would be the same. The only issue with it is the question how to apply damage increases for each element from the skill tree and gear. Last edited by Andrius319#4787 on Feb 25, 2016, 4:51:11 PM
