PoE drops wifi

Whenever I open path of exile, from desktop or through steam, within a minute my wifi stops working. It still tells me that my wifi is connected, but path of exile wont log in or will simply freeze. Also no other programs that require internet will work, skype, other internet using games, chrome. This wifi drop happens withing 15-30s of opening path of exile and wifi comes back 15-30s after I exit path of exile. I'm not really sure whats causing this issue or why, but it showed up pretty recently, before path of exile worked 100% fine.
