Frequent Disconnects

Hi, I've been experiencing frequent disconnects while playing (around 2-4 minutes between each disconnect). The game either becomes unresponsive where monsters and npcs don't react or the game freezes while effects continue to play. I've updated my wireless adapter's (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160) drivers. I do not have access to my router/modem as I am living in a college dormitory. My only option is wi-fi. Browsers and videos seem to be working just fine but I can't seem to get PoE to work. I've attached the WinMTR below.

Thank you

Hi there,

Thank you for posting this. You appear to have some large ping spikes starting at your router that may be the cause of your issues.

Can you please confirm that your antivirus and firewall are not interfering with Path of Exile. If they are not my suggestion would be to talk to your network administrator as they may be able to help.

Thank you very much and please let us know how this goes.

Hello,

Today I deleted and freshly installed PoE. I tried turning off my firewall and antivirus but the disconnects kept happening. I created a log just in case. The one below is with my firewall and antivirus off.

Thank you for the quick response by the way

Thanks for trying that. Again there appears to be lag spikes right from the first hop. Talking to the network administrator at your college dorm may be the best course of action here (show them your winMTR results).

If you want to further test if the problem is with your own computer, I would recommend trying to play Path for Exile on a different machine but on the same network, to see if you get the same results.

Hi,

Thank you for your help and suggestions.

You were correct.
It turned out to be a hardware issue that the network administrator was having. They had to replace some equipment.
