Great ideas to shoot the shit with (and both are equally non-falsifiable/navel gazing). --- Darkest Dungeon is a lot of fun and it's fully released now. If you haven't been immersed in a game in a while, I recommend it. They put a lot of energy and love into the setting, pacing, and mood. I'm usually a pretty stoic gamer and it even got a "WTF! Don't critical! NOOO!" rise out of me. | |

Funny that I was just reading bits of the Feynman Report re: the challenger disaster. I'd actually never heard of the single electron thing.

My uncle worked for NASA during the moon landings. Last I heard he is one of two left.
The interesting thing is I grew up calling him Uncle Gus which I only found out recently was not his real name. His real name was Jessie. Why Gus and not Jessie? Well like many white people of the time he was a huge racist. He has since renounced his ways, but at the time being a white man named Jessie Owens was not cool. And also OT was never classy. Fun maybe, but never classy. |

Sadness is a biological gift, not a curse. Without pain, we would likely not remember being hurt and thus be more likely to not avoid similar circumstances in the future.
In the end we are just ephemeral deterministic biological machines whos existance is destined to be washed away in deep time. All our growth, achievements, and morality will have zero impact in 100 billion years. And with it all, our mistakes, shame, and pain. But we live now. And weve only got our miniscule slice of time to enjoy ourselves (and aid others in doing the same). So dont squander it focusing on the pain. Only you can choose what you think and dream about. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem.
