1500 Fusings for 6L. - Needs to be changed

I was browsing the forums, looking for a 6 link armor to buy, when I noticed that there are so many of them for sale, on Talisman server to boot!

It got me thinking, after looking at prices around 4-8 ex for a good 6L armor that man is the masters crafting table so OUT OF DATE.

Currently on Talisman, I can find a great piece of armor 6L for me already, rolled with decent stats for 6-10 Ex. I don't have to gamble anything. I see people trading 6L uniques (Carcass Jack, Belly of the beast....) in trade chat for 8-9Ex.

It costs 1500 fusings to 6L something on the craft table. Given the current price on Talisman of 130 fusing for 1 Ex, that means it's 11 Ex to get enough fusings for a 6L. I can buy just about ANY 6L unique/ piece of armor for that much

I also think that seeing how there's a couple of divination cards that give 6L items now, that price is even more ridiculous. In approx 3 hours of farming I've picked up 5 Chains that Bind Div cards, and I haven't even really been trying.

I think they should take another look at the pricing on this option on the masters table.

Make that 6 Chains that Bind. I found another just a few min after writing this

Not that I would mind if they lowered the cost (playing self-found and all), but I don't think NPC prices should be altered based on what things cost on poe.trade.

The 1500 fuses cost wasn't added to be "fair" or "cheap", or as an efficient way to 6L stuff. It was, presumably, added in response to people asking for a non-gambling, guaranteed way of getting six links. This is unusually deterministic for PoE, and no doubt Chris and some others must have cringed in pain before they agreed, so I doubt there is much GGG interest in lowering the price.

If you can get a 6L for less on poe.trade, and you're a trader, get it there. If you can't or have a specific chest in mind, either gamble or save up the 1500 fuses.
The 1500 fusings guarantee puts a ceiling on the price of 6L's (~base item + 1500 fuse equivalent). People must offer competitive prices if they want their gear to sell and not rot in their stash so prices come down.
If 1500 fuse for a 6L isn't a good deal for you don't take it, nobody is forcing you to.

Personally, I have gotten great use out if it and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

It's not a 13 week development cycle, it's a 13 week supporter-pack cycle.
You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta.

Honestly its always been out of date unless you got a one of a kind like 900es chest or soemthing. Ive always bought 6l for way less than item + 1500 fuse. Usually properly colored too so i dont have to waste chroms
Git R Dun!
Nope, it dose not need changing, it's loosely based on the average fusing required to get the result, you are paying more but not to much and so think of it as a fee to prevent you spending 3000 or more by crap RNG.

I can see so many of you are also "Out of date"

my opinion is that they've changed the game significantly with the introduction of the 6L divination cards. 6L's will dramatically be easier to get in any other way than using the masters table. This makes people who do go the self found route forced to farm for these specific divination cards to get what they need (which most do)

Let's also not forget the ability of strongboxes with the "Items fully linked" option as well.

My argument is, that it's not hard to farm for the 6L cards, and the cost of the masters table should also reflect that as well.

It's time for you guys to get over the "But I like POE to be super difficult" The game has been there, it was fun. But at this point it's time to move on and keep the game fresh and fun for the "next generation" of gamer.

Without new blood coming into a game, stagnation occurs. Just ask Blizzard about Diablo 3...

One possible solution would be to separate the ability to link rares and uniques at the bench.
The costs suggested here are just my personal preference,
and the main focus is on having rares and uniques separated:

Vorici lvl 3, 4L rare items (4 fuse)
Vorici lvl 4, 4L unique items (6 fuse)

Vorici lvl 5, 5L rare items (20 fuse)
Vorici lvl 6, 5L unique items (100 fuse)

Vorici lvl 7, 6L rare items (250 fuse)
Vorici lvl 8, 6L unique items (500 fuse)

If GGG will make this game more comfortable for schoolgirls it wil became Diablo 3.
1500 is kinda perfect for me. U don't want waste time to buy all those fusings - u have options to buy 6link from other ppl, or to try to link it urself. U want crazy adventures - u can look for hundreds of "items fully linked" chests, or spend millions alchemy orb on 6-link armor from div cards. If u don't like crazy adventures and want to 6-link good rare weapon 1500 fus is super good price.
6L isn't even needed for most builds it's just a luxury lol
