CwDt + Molten Shell - Thresholds at the same time
What happens, when CwDt and Molten Shell reach there thresholds at the same time?
For example i got a 800 phys hit, 530 after armour calc. With lvl 1 CwDt i need 528 Dmg, and a lvl 10 MS need 250 absorbed dmg. So twice fulfill there conditions. 1. cwdt cast before molten Shell explodes, no dmg by MS, or 2. cwdt cast at the same time/after MS and i deal dmg and cast MS new Because its possible to link MS at different positions to cwdt, i can spam Molten Shell every 0.25 secs. But this is useless, when it never explodes. Sry for my bad english and i hope nobody ask the same question before me ^^ PS: thx AutoCorrect for nice help -.- (sarcasm) |

first, everything is processed in an order, no matter how simultaneous it looks
second, molten shell does not absorb any damage, it only adds some base armour and the shell detonates once certain amount of phys damage from hits is mitigated. this includes mitigation from Armour, phys damage reduction, block, Immortal call, etc IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on Jan 21, 2016, 11:06:37 AM

So MS explodes before it got recast, because the game calculate the armour bevor it calculate the damage?
And i know how MS works, but i doesn´t know that blocks count to Moltenshell. So a block counts as 100% Dmg reduction at every typ? |

" Of course nothing is simultaneosly processed, but thats exactly what he asked for: What comes first, the MS recast by CWDT or the explosion of MS. And he said nothing wrong about MS. And if anyone asks why one would want to know that, atleast one reason is to make a Scolds Bridle build where you push the manacost of 1 skill to about 1200 while you mitigate about 1/3 of a 4.8k hit. That way every cast you would take enough dmg to trigger a lvl 20 CWDT AND reach the mitigation threshold of a lvl 20 Molten Shell. |

oh, misunderstood OP, sorry
the mitigation in processed before you actually take the damage, so theoretically, it should detonate before it gets recasted. but cant be sure without testing IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on Jan 21, 2016, 12:02:32 PM
