[2.1] Blasphemy Tri Curse Oro Flicker (with video!)

Hi Everyone. I'm trying out a fun little build. Basically, I'm using blasphemy with three curses (flammability, warlord's mark, and poacher's mark). I'm using this with the Oro's Sacrifice flicker build. I'm also running with 6 endurance charges and fairly high hp... they stay up constantly due to warlord's mark. This build is quite tanky. I could use enduring cry if I'm on a boss that will take some time to kill in order to keep charges up. I have also had NO trouble keeping flicker going constantly on maps with -40% status affects. Biggest issue is immunity to curses.

*IMOPRTANT* Vaal clarity is the KEY to this! I keep vaal clarity up essentially 100% of the time. This means if I ever run into a curse immune mob it doesn't stop my flicker spam due to lack of mana gain. Maps with curse immune are annoying, but doable. They are slower and I just turn off my curses and put on clarity.

I really like Doedre's Scorn unique hat which essentially adds 80% increased damage with this build and it costs around 1 alch!

It has EXTREMELY High damage and can clear maps very quickly. I don't know if it's viable in HC unless you play really safe. I've done up to tier 7 maps (haven't found a tier 8 yet... sigh) and it's been surprisingly easy and fast.

I'm looking for any suggestions or feedback about the build. I like it a LOT so far and I think it's one of the stronger flicker builds out there, from what I've seen. It also is VERY VERY inexpensive. I see other flicker builds using kaom's heart and stuff like that... yeah I can't afford that. That would be nice! I basically made this char with less than 10 chaos.

Still trying to figure out best passive set up... any feedback would be awesome. Jewels with Fire damage, attack speed with swords, and ignite chance are pretty useful... life is good too

PLEASE Give me any feedback or advice. I want to make this build better. I'm sure there are other uniques or passives I'm completely missing. I love flicker!
I have some feedback.

1.) LIFE and Defenses. Your life pool must be horrible, am I right? If you're running a 2Handed Melee build you're gonna need more life nodes than other builds would normally get. and.. Most builds normally get more than this one has. You should try for 200% maybe 180% at a minimum. To be certain that the life is going to matter and not get bursted down everytime you flicker into a pack of spike-on-death enemies or just in general tanky bluepacks with mean left hooks... you really should invest more into armor aswell as endurance charges, or Lightning Coil at the very least.. With Oro's builds it's possible to get 30k dps with 15k'ish armor and 7 endurance charges; 30k DPS is more than enough to handle most of the game relatively quickly and 15k armor with 7 endurance charges makes sure that you don't get destroyed when you flicker aimlessly into the wrong pack. I would even consider Fortify as the 6th Link for this ability just because of how dangerous it can be.

2.) YOUR CURSES. Flammability is fine, but Poacher's Mark AND Warlord's Mark? That is just inefficient, considering Oro's already provides plenty of Frenzy Charges and simply using Enduring Cry every 10~15 seconds is a lot safer and consistant than gambling with on-kill effects. So, you should not need either of these Marks. . . If you re-routed your pathing towards the Duelist area, you could pick up 2% Life Leech and 0.4% Mana Leech without reserving any of your mana and with the added benefit of your leech being applicable even vs curse immune enemies, /and/ you would also be capable of picking up more life by going down there. If I had to go Tri-Curses, I would go Enfeeble, Flam, Ele Weakness, and use two Doedre rings instead of gettin dual curse from tree and boots.

3.) I wouldn't go Tri-Curse. Flammability is enough for the build to run through content smoothly. All the mana you're taking up with the other two curses would be better spent in running either Anger for damage or Grace Iron Reflexes for Defenses, and with that you could remove aura nodes and put them into solid damage and defenses that don't get rendered useless when a curse immune pack shows up... Alternatively, you could keep some of the aura nodes and drop flammability while self-casting it only when you need to <vs highly resistant mobs> and pick up ignite gear such as Gang's Momentum and Mokou's, with that you could run Grace and Determination to really bolster those defenses or Grace and Anger if you want a balanced approach that works even in Curse Immune maps.

4.) No RT? You really aren't going crit with Oro's Sacrifice Flicker Strike... Use Resolute Technique for 100% hit chance and drop the Accuracy nodes.

With a Unique Fireborn Jewel socketed into the duelist area you can pick up just about as much damage as going to the top of the tree + doedre's scorn Tri-curse combined.. if not more considering the attack speed bonuses you also get here.

The optimizations here will allow you to swap Vaal Clarity for Vaal Grace if you want extra defenses or for damage you could go Vaal Haste or maybe even a 6L Vaal Double Strike if you really want to press your dps advantage against Bosses, since you can summon 3 copies attacking with 80% of your damage ='s about 3*80= 240% more dps for about 8~10 seconds. If you wanted defense and damage together I think Vaal Molten Shell is really good.. 1k base armor for 17 seconds and a ton of aoe fire damage every time you're attacked...

Also, of course, You don't need Kaom's Heart to make a viable Oro's flicker build, it helps alot if you want to go after 6k~7k Life but there are cheap alternatives, such as belly, lightning coil, bronne's lithe(50% increased damage for movement abilities works with flicker), and cherrubim's maleficence, but even a decent rare would be just as good considering it can give you a second 5/6Link (even if it's just another 5/6Link flicker strike that replaces melee splash with fortify or life leech)

Hey Do_oodle! First off, thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate the time you took to reply. I was definitely looking for advice/feedback and I'm happy you replied. I admit I can get pretty tunnel visioned with builds so it's great to hear other views. I like a lot of your ideas for end game.

I think if I were playing HC I would 100% agree on everything you mentioned. My life pool is a little over 4k right now, so I guess it's kinda on the low side, but I do keep up 6 endurance charges all the time in maps. I was seriously thinking about more life nodes, but so far I haven't had much of an issue dying but I'm sure that will change later on. I'm in SC and don't care too much if I die once every now and then. So far I've done up to t9 maps and really haven't had any issues. I've killed every boss on each map and been doing even unidentified rare t7/t8. I admit I did not make this guy with end game in mind... I just wanted something that will clear maps REALLY fast and was extremely inexpensive. Again, if this was HC or I wanted to make sure I didn't die at all I would agree 100%!

I will definitely mess around with some of the ideas you mentioned. I like the ele weakness. I totally forgot about that. The reason I'm wanting to stick with tri-curse is because I don't want to take the time to manually cast ANYTHING, except vaal clarity. I feel even using enduring cry/casting a curse slows me down a lot in the long run. I really love the clear speed of holding down right click and never stopping! I'll check out what it's like without poacher's mark, but I'm not sure I can keep up the frenzy charges in -40% status effect maps and I'm not sure how the mana regen will be in the few times I don't have vaal clarity up. I will DEFINITELY check it out! I love the idea of using ele weakness instead.

I think you're probably right with the RT. I've noticed with poacher's mark reduced enemy evasion that I haven't missed to the point where it's even noticeable, but that will change at higher tier maps, right? I'm not too sure how that works honestly. I think RT is probably the way to go and to get rid of the accuracy nodes. The bigger accuracy nodes are more for the dex than the accuracy. I am having a lot of trouble getting the required dex.

In terms of some of the other points, a few of them like the doedre's curse rings, and 6L ideas... I LOVE All that for end game of this build. My main thoughts in mind for this build were NOT end game, they were simply for a low cost, fast map clearing build. I probably should have made that clear. I could NOT afford doedre curse rings when I made this char or a 6L.

I do have a 49% Bronn's Lithe but I'm currently using my chest because it's 5L and has decent hp/resists. I'm a lot richer than I was before and could afford some of the things you mentioned, but I'm going to stick with the low cost build for now just to see how far it can get me. I'll upgrade when it's required! I would probably get a 5L or 6L Oro's firt and then mess with different chest pieces! Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks again for everything. I think there are some really great options/ideas you brought up. I hope it didn't look like I was stubbornly defending my build. Hopefully I can get up to higher tier maps and see if it's still clearing as fast as it is now without dying. If not, I'll probably go a bit tankier like you suggested.

I APPROVE greatly for RT, it's a minimum of 20% more damage in higher level maps.
It's also less chance to miss so more chance to generate a frenzy charge!
and almost no drawback, 5% crit is not a big deal. So yeah. RT!

I love windscream and it's a great choice :) you do well with "cheap" stuff and the build seems alright, if rt was fixed ;p

do odle build seems difficult to realize, it's a lvl 98 build o_o

for this reason i will give you my own version.

It will need fireborn jewel in the duelist area to transform two handed wheel into fire two handed, it's a MASSIVE dps boost.

It keeps your tri curse setup with yours optimisations, adding another endurance charge.

It keeps the elemental resistances nodes, it seems that you want them badly, when you will change your stuff you will get ride of them.

150% increased life is a bit low :/


I suggest to replace poarcher mark with elemetal weakness, great dps boost.

but i wonder if you will sustain mana when vaal clarity is not up. Not sure.




two Doedre rings is a bad idea, rings are op for oro's with the elem increased and flat fire, i prefer windscream + dual curse, also this path gives life and fire penetration.

He doesnt need mana leech, life leech is a good addition but i think that he wants the endurance charges of warlord mark.


Anyway, a three curse setup is probably not the way to go. But if you want to play it i think that my tree is close to what you want. While keeping 90% of yours ideas.

Ideas that i dont approve ... but it will be completely standardized if you listen to us.


and 30K to clean the game and hardmaps? It's a good joke! My 240K real dps oro's flicker strike doesnt kill merveil necropolis in less than 1 minute.

Hi Geisalt! Thank you for your reply as well. It helps a lot! I know I'm kinda noob and was definitely hoping to get some advice.

It looks as if I may have to change my build up a bit. I really want to keep the tri-curse blasphemy thing but from the sounds of it, it won't cut it end game. Maybe I'll have to mess around with a few different things, or just settle with 2 curse blasphemy :(!

Also Geisalt, it seems you linked Fireborn jewel twice instead of linking a passive skill tree example. I've been toying with my skill tree for a while now and I'm having trouble spreading myself out so much over the map. I do like the idea of going down into the duelist tree, but I'm not sure I can make it while keeping the additional curse passive.

And you're right about the resist passives... it might be time for me to upgrade my gear. At the very least, this cheap build can fly through maps up to t9. I suppose I'll upgrade and see how it fairs later on. I'll also be adjusting my build a lot based on the feedback and see what works best.

How single target dps works ? I guess you can't generate enough power charge ? (you don't use that ring that can generate power charge on non-crit).
