PROS
- If you enjoy your fingers, try this build. - Easy and Fun. This build is fast, aggressive and can scale well. - Simple build to start with as a new player or in new leagues! - Superb clear speed - high damage, mobility, coverage, utility (crit and shatter!) - Scalable tree. This build is performs well with good gear shines incredibly with great gear. - Can be built entirely in Rare only gear with certain improvements with unique gear. - Has a large pool of skillgems/attacks and variations available to use. - Can be played Self-found and can provide immense utility when in a party. - Can stack rarity for speed clears of lower tier maps and is great for new leagues. - Clears very fluidly! Crit scaling allows easy progression of maps. - No mana problems. You recharge as you cast. - Is Corrupted Bleed Proof, Reflect Proof, Thorn Proof. - Can clear Atziri (with practice and modification).
CONS
- Getting top end Crit gear is an expensive "progression". - You may have to pick up +DEX Nodes if you are short. - Elemental Reflect is unpleasant for your totems (you have to cast after every 2 mobs but you can adjust to this. - Your only real means of defence is a High EHP, if you freeze things that helps, but you will get hit and you will need "enough" to not die. - No Armor = Bleeds, small hits hurt. - Chaos Damage; mainly recommended to make playing more comfortable INTRODUCTION: Character building is about balance, to optimise a build you want to have a synergetic relationship between Damage, Clear speed and Survivability. Do not make damage a sole priority. Focus on Survivability (LIFE) first and foremost, then try to get Mobility(MOVEMENT SPEED) and finally Utility(REGEN,POTIONS). DPS is just a number and simply having more of it does not mean you will be able to advance levels and clear maps efficiently. WITCH is the Ideal Class - She delivers the most damage gains access to almost all her GEMS SHADOW and TEMPLAR are very viable as well. (ASCENDANCY DISCUSSION ON NEXT POST)

FAQ: Q: I'm new can I do this as a first build? Yes, it will allow you to learn a lot of the mechanics of the game. Q: Where do I travel on tree? Get Ancestral Bond, Level with Flame totem, Freeze Pulse, Firestorm Q: What Affects my Damage? Spell damage, Global Critical Strike Chance, Spell Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Multiplier, Increased Cast Speed, Added Flat Elemental Damage to Spells. Q: Can I do NON CRIT? No, Crit scales fabulously and you will be useful solo and in party. Q: How to Scale Damage? Gem Levels, Gem Quality and Dual Wielding Q: Power Charges? Useful for Parties not so much for solo (unless Atziri) but entirely up to you. Q: Best Chest? Lighting Coil = More EHP against PHYS less EHP aginst ELE. Good for One Shots and small damage. Cloak of Flame = Weaker lightning Coil Tabula Rasa = 6 link, with no defence. Still very usable but much more risky. Restless Ward = Great for maintaining and generating Charges, not comfortable to play personally Rare 6 Link = Good stats, ideal Base is a Vaal Regalia Q: Wand/Wand or Wand/Shield, Why no DaggeR? Wand/Wand Best Damage, Wand/Shield for Rippy maps in party and no dagger because Cast Speed is mandatory for Freezing Pulse (it feels horrifically uncomfortable without it) Q: Auras? Herald of Ice, Discipline and Clarity Q: Mobility? You want to use Lightning Warp, but Flame Dash is sufficient and less socket intensive Q: No resistance Flasks? Depends on Map, this is mainly for Speed running T8 Q: MF Viable? Yes, I run 306/27 MF on T8-T11 you do not necessarily need IIQ gear since the map IIQ makes up for that. Always Speed Clear > Highest MF Values Will elaborate Further.
