Point Blank with RoA and Blast Rain

Yeah so what i think is happening is that this is snap shotting of damage, just like a Skeleton Roah already in its charge, will still hit for its full damage even when cursed with enfeeble while charging. This would explain the difference between Chin Sol and PB.

But my original point, although not pointing it out, was that it is already fully possible to use them both together, just be tanky. Remember that Blink arrow has a cooldown aswell, so the application you guys are talking about (although cool) would be more inconsistant and annoying than it seems at first. Not to mention you might need that blink arrow to get away from alot of things, there is a reason you don't Blink Arrow into packs already. One notable danger would be Flame/Frost/Storm Bearer Bloodline mobs.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

And indeed using blink into a pack is extremely risky, that's why in one of my reply i specifically said that is just for fun, not really practical. xD

Yet, i'm not too sure about your point about snap shooting. What do you mean "the difference between Chin Sol and PB"? Only one of Chin Sol and PB were snap shot? or both are them are?
Cause i can clearly see Chin Sol working, thus are you saying that PB were not take into account?
It looks like the PB dmg is calculated when you shoot the volley of arrows - carrying dmg with itself.
However Chin Sol modifier is calculated when the arrows hit the target - including distance.

So real test of this would be to completely drop Chin sol - use normal bow and try whether the dmg increases when you run to mobs. Has anyone tried this to confirm???

Unfortunately even slower projectiles gem with Blast rain is impractical - the mobs run to you and start damaging you and you are waiting for the arrows to fall. :-) Hence the only way is to make it faster - by passives from tree, gems in tree and potentially faster projectiles gem. But I think faster projectiles gem is really not needed (gimps dmg).

However to note the blast rain has enabled very strong alignment of physical and fire element using Blackgleam quiver (which is BIS item for non-crit blastrain).

The thing is, it has insane scalability: Blast rain -> fire pen -> WED -> added fire -> PPaD -> Faster attacks. I'm running this build on Talisman HC with Chin Sol and just 5L - and reaching on close range like 50K DPS.
MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

This was my original hunch, yes.
Build of the week / Burning Arrow Trapper : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1036602 [Build nerfed to oblivion]
Fall of Arrows / RoA, Lioneyes Fall : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1387765 [Updated as of 2.0] [Viable as of 2.1]
is it against CoC if i bump the thread just for visual?
Cause i would really love a Dev to give us correct info.
Would be nice to have a definitive answer to this now that Rain of Arrows and Blast Rain are being reworked/updated!
