Beeping noise when holding down shift key, followed by mouse and game lag.
Just tested a 2nd mouse ... it was the mouse, problem solved. The beeping IS a hardware problem, your pc is letting you know one of the components isn't working good and/or needs a fix. My mouse button was buggered so that it clicked a lot of times in 1 press which caused my pc too beep (not through speakers)when I was playing in areas of high activity (eg lots effects/enemy's)as it could not keep up with the list of commands etc. totally fixed with new mouse. I think normally at pc start 5 beeps mean keyboard problem, 2 I think is ram not inserted correctly etc ... something like that there is a list somewhere. Its your hardware sticking or just plain broken.
