Increas grace period to 30 seconds

Having lost a couple of HC characters when transitioning to a new area made me think on how to solve it.

By far the easiest solution is to simply increase the grace period to 30 seconds. This should give ample time to prevent being greeted with a death screen whenever you use a waypoint.

the grace period barely works in the first place... many times have i instantly loaded an area (game is on an SSD) and had it not apply at all

Didn't they recently change the waypoint/portal setup so that you are no longer vulnerable while changing zones?

The thing is, it does work. So that means that whenever you appear at a transitioned area and you don't see the grace buff it means that it has already expired

Well I had one death in 0.10.g where they mentioned that you're no longer attacked when you enter a new area. So it doesn't work yet as intended.
people seem to forget that the buff is removed by the use of a skill or movement

with bad load times on some people, i have noticed alot of those are caused by people pushing hotkeys while in the load screen, when the background noise changes to the new zone..

so if you dont touch your hotkeys while loading in or clicking about, your'll find that the buff is applied, your just breaking it by pushing a hotkey or clicking on the screen while the loading screen is still up

I don't touch anything when I transition to a new area and in more than half of the cases the grace buff is expired.

There's a waypoint in act 3 in the sewers where I lost one of my characters.

I think increasing this buff to 30 seconds would allow most people on slow computers to survive. This seems to me the easiest way for the developers to fix this problem.

Indeed, happen to me today. Was farming in fellshrine cruel, no difficulties really. I went to crossroad... long loading screen... and character did appear dead with a rare monkey next to him :o . It's annoying to lose a character when you have done nothing wrong... You just had a bad loading time. Increase the grace time or a safe zone would be pretty great for a lot of peaple.
