Cast When Damage + Vaal Immortal Call not working

Hey i have done a little research and done some reluctant experiments and my Cast When Damage Taken linked to Vaal Immortal Call is not triggering...
interestingly Vaal Immortal Call shows up as castable on my skill bar even though it's linked to CWDT.

I meet all the requirements:

1. Full soul charges on Immortal Call

2. Cast When Damage taken is level 3

3. Immortal Call is level 4 requires level 40 to use

4. my character is level 73

also my Enduring Cry is also having the same problem but not my Molten Shell?? i am getting confused as hell!! lol

Enduring cry level 6
Molten Shell level 9

does anyone have any ideas??

Vaal gems can't be supported by trigger gems

As for Enduring Cry, it isn't a spell so CwDT won't support it either.

ok it just seemed that was the meta links to CwDT... i can understand Enduring Cry not being a spell but Vaal Immortal Call is still a spell? and nowhere on the gem or poe wiki does it say it does not support Vaal skills?

Vaal skills not working with trigger gems was a change made some months after they were introduced (in 1.2.0, to be exact). That's probably why documentation of it is a bit dodgy.

i am sure you did not read the entire wiki page
