Gutbag's Blast Rain Cast on Crit

Blast rain
cast on crit
blade fall
glacial cascade
(increased aoe/ faster attacks/increased critical/ flame surge/physical to lightning if phys reflect is a problem)
Shock nova is okay too.

Blasphemy with assassin's mark. Hatred or grace. (hatred adds dmg to both glacial cascade and bladefall)

Stack aoe on tree and gear. I use carcass jack.

Synergy is the key to this build. Increased aoe affects all of the skills.

Windripper is ideal. However, a well-rolled critical strike harbinger with high physical damage would be over-powered.

Why blast rain? With a high area of effect you are hitting almost every mob on the screen instantly, followed by 2 more hits. with a pack of 25 mobs, you are maxing out your cast on crit potential.
Single target effectiveness is probably slightly less than barrage, but far superior on packs.
I think you will also find the play-style to be safer.
You can launch a few volleys and run, while the spells just barf right out of you.

For your passive tree you want to take attack speed, critical strike chance (global and w/bows), increased aoe (this is why i choose the scion, those 3 area of effect nodes in the beginning are very useful), and health. Take vaal pact, acrobatics and a few evasion nodes.
King of the hill node provides a tremendous amount of survive-ability.

It's not rocket science. Principles apply to any bow cast on crit build.

Physical reflect and corrupting blood can be problematic. Physical to lightning should nullify that, however good leech with vaal pact does fine. Also I am currently using thief's torment to sustain mana and hp. I wouldn't say its required, just very easy to get by with.

Emjoy,
Gutbag
