Feedback and Suggestions (Path of Exile 1) - Request for someone to collect and post official reddit info. - Forum

I don't use reddit, quite a few others don't either but there is quite a bit of game related info posted by the devs on there that dose not make it's way back here. So i would suggest that there be a new section made and updated either by staff or maybe one of the Valued posters. Everything from hints on possible upcoming features, replies to suggestions and their views on things. Ancestral Bond. Sounds like something Bambi would be good at! Let's unban him and give him the job. But yeah, it would be worthwhile to do. I don't read reddit enough to volunteer. Also, I don't volunteer. Due to memory fragmentation that occurs when playing through various areas (where terrain assets are unloaded to make room for others), you can hit the limit prematurely. Rogue Exiles use a massive variety of different microtransactions, so you'd need to preload all of those. It's a lot of memory and would start to cause problems. We'd like to load resources in another thread before they're used, but unfortunately this is harder than it sounds under DirectX 9. It'd take a lot of work to re-architect the resource system. We will probably create a 64-bit version of the client. This would help mitigate the above memory limit. Deeper resource system changes would help too, but that's not something we've started yet. I'm keen to prioritise this type of stuff once other important things are out of the way. Edit: To clarify, the way gifting works is that when you're buying a microtransaction with points, you can choose for it to instead go to someone on your friends list. Agreed. I come to this website and it is my hope that here is where all the latest information can be found. I don't use reddit, I don't use twitter, I use pathofexile.com I think it is reasonable to suggest that the home site have all the information available to the playerbase. Make it so. That one about the Giftable MTX's...the proverbial straw....... What really irked me is that it came with a question, what do you guys think....letting reddit decide on game features alone instead of allowing the whole community decide. I don't know how popular reddit is amongst the players, i get the feeling that those that have been constantly probated for idiocy on the forums moved there...which may not be the best group to ask. The feature itself though...if they enforce not being able to gift the MTX once in the MTX tab it should limit the effect of RMT, the only real problem i see is that support would be running around checking that the gifting was legit...just extra work for them.
