Is Rigwald's Crest being unusable by summoners intentional?

I got the Rigwald ring that summons spectral wolves from my very first Rigwald fight, and I was very excited about this, as I play Zoo summoners (Zombies, Spectres, Chaos Golem, SRS, Animate Weapon, Vaal Skellies). Then I put it on, only to discover that, unlike flask charges, none of my minions' kills were being sourced to me for the purposes of the ring. Is this intentional? If so...why? Is it just supposed to be a neat flavor effect for non-summoner builds? I'd ask that you at least consider allowing Zoo summoners to use the ring, as it was the thing I was most excited about in Talisman league after the Femurs of the Saints.

Try HH not being usable by Summoners anymore <.<

There is frustration within the depths of the Abyss. Suffering... and euphoria.
Light as a neutral force.

The new flesh emerges.
Just wanted to bump this up.

While I think it should work with summons, I'd suggest (if it's working as intended) changing it to something like "When you kill an enemy". Its current wording is in line with something like CoMK, but there's no real reason a player should assume it works like a non-existent localized support gem, rather than a global skill add on (like how Asenath's Gentle Touch works with Temp Chains). At the very least "When you kill" would prevent every summoner from getting excited about the ring.

Although, again, even if it is working as intended, I'd rather see summons and totems able to proc the wolves. The proc rate is low enough as it is to prevent wild abuse.

No on-kill effects are granted on kills scored by minions (+totems, traps, mines) and never have been.

You can maybe link Culling Strike to your Curse on Hit setup, if you have one?

Literally every piece of equipment I have is filled with summons, except my hat, which runs auras :P

this. Flask charges are a separate mechanic, but all affix/passive related 'on-kill' things (like HoT/HoI's procs, life on kill, mana on kill, onslaught/unholy might on kill, etc) only work when YOU kill things.

(Though a notable exception, at least prior to 2.1, is that a target that dies to Ignite caused via a totem/trap/mine/minion seems to register as the player's kill)

That's entirely fair, but I'd like to point to my next question: If this is how the wolves were designed to work...why? It means the build that can most make use of them (summoners) is unable to do so, and other builds will be unable to properly support their wolves, making them, basically, a Dogs When Trigger Ring.
wow... retarded as shit ... just wow

GGG FAIL!!!
