It is definitely an option, although one of Templar Ascendancy classes will give us the ability to ignore resistances on critical strike. Which is quite ridiculous, the reason elemental damage is not as powerful as physical is due to all the resistances bosses and maps get on high tier maps - this will increase our damage drastically.

The reduced resistances might hurt us a little bit in terms for Uber Atziri, but even without it you should still manage. As for on maps, flasks are almost not necessary due to our damage and sustain from Kingsgaurd.

So elemental equilibrium reduces resistances, but increases a resistance depending on what you hit them with first. Molten Strike does fire damage, and Lightning Strike does lightning damage. Since those are our main trigger spells, that would result in an increase to their Lightning Resistance or Fire Resistance which is not what we want as our primary damage from Discharge comes from Power Charges (Lightning Damage), and Endurance Charges (Fire Damage).

I switched my 6L to use, Curse on hit, Warlords Mark, Lightning strike, Multistrike, GMP, Chain.

Dropped head hunter for doryani, switched gloves from atziri to repentance, dropped saffell for rathpith and dropped LL gem for controlled destruction in the Mjolnir. I have my gloves setup in a 4L for Molten for single target

Dps has actually gone up pretty significantly in terms of clear speed atleast for packs and single I believe. I don't seem to be any less tanky due to LGOH gems and warlord mark/endurance charges on even off screen enemies.

Now this may all be a waste of time with ascendancy about to drop and inquisitor, but it may not since I actually feel more tanky now and confident about rolling through the content than i was before.

Now none of this is to talk crap on the guide you made because I think it is pretty solid.

Thats my current build atm. With Fortify and Arctic Armour I didn't think I'd need the extra armour and so far I haven't.

With Ascendancy coming I'm thinking of going Inquisitor. Inevitable Judgement and Sanctify.

One question though, Inevitable Judgement on a target that is cursed. Say they are at -20% do they stay there or go 0% or does it remove the monster resist all together so they'd have -40%?

I'm going to make a video on my small changes to Rexire's tree in an hour or so. I'll edit this post with the video in case anyone is interested.

Nice changes to the build. I was considering going for MoM+EB combo to get the extra damage mitigation, but i seems that it will be too hard to achieve the ideal hp/es ratio in order to make the most of it.

So I'm thinking of something similar to what you've done. But... I dont have all those juicy jewels. lol

Regarding Instruments of Virtue vs. Augury of Penitence:

From what I have seen, Augury's "Neaby enemies take 10% increased elemental damage" stacks with Shock effect. So, if the enemy is not shocked, that's directly a 10% more damage buff, which is very nice.

And when you consider all your attack speed buffs (Blood Rage, quality GMP, quality Faster Attacks, all IAS on jewels and passive tree, etc.), adding 14% on the top of that.

In my 2.1 witch I have total +175% increased attack speed (not considering Multistrike's MORE AS)
If I add 14%, it will be +189%.

So, in my case, its: 1,15aps*(1+1.89)/1,15aps*(1+1.75) = 3.3235aps/3.1625aps = 1.0509

This means I get MORE ~5,1% attack speed from that 14% increased attack speed.

However, with Augury of Penitence i get 10% MORE damage. If enemy is shocked, its 1.6/1.5=6.666% more dmg.

***Not considering +20% spell damage from cast a spell every once in a while, or +10% Elemental dmg node before Augury on the calculations above.

I haven't touched my mjolner since 2.1 so was looking around for some inspiration. On 2.0 I had a pretty minmaxed build with 5.4k arc dps. You seem to be getting much more which makes me curious, did you get 7k+ on 2.0 as well or is it since 2.1 that you get these numbers?

Also, very surprised to see so much global crit. Your molten strike has almost 10% crit meaning it eats a lot of power charges. I wouldn't run so much global crit, but maybe it's why ur dps is higher. Personally I went all the way and even vaaled my romira's to lose all global crit possible thinking it was trash for mjolner. I will have to test a bit myself as well on 2.1

First of all, i'd want to thank for the great build, love it so far!
I have a problem.
Maps are going very smoothly. But i hit a brick wall on normal Atziri. I can't do literally sh*t with her, i just oneshot myself on the mirror phase no matter what image i attack, flashy lights are everywhere and i suppose i hit them all (topaz and ruby flasks are on, of course). My resists are 84/79/83 without flasks. Other stats are: 3.3k life, 500 ES (I know it is a bit low, but honestly i can't see how additional say 500 life would make a difference); my ascendancy class is Inquisitor with ingore elemental resistances on criticals; discharges are about 16k damage. Maybe someone could be so kind and see my profile? Where did i go the wrong way? Character name is PaulReed. Thanks in advance!

I found a voll's devotion in perandus league and thinking of making this build.
Is templar inquisitor the optimal choice?
Anyone running with him? How much hp does he end up with in 2.2?
I gave it a go in perandus league.
Still level 73 inquisitor with many life nodes missing but this build surely works.

Maybe later i'll switch to voidbringer and doryanis belt but for now everything melts up to t8 maps that i've tried.
I use a 4 link lightning strike for packs cause why not?
Also accuracy is much needed,chance to hit is 87%.
