Ice shot vs Lightning arrow

Circles are OP. Spheres are broken.

i agree that freeze is far superior to shock, in this game, because DPS is almost never a problem and survival is.

however in this case i love me some lightning arrow much more than ice shot. go lightning arrow, full lightning damage supports (added lightning damage, lightning penetration, WED) and use three dragons helmet. i do this with windripper and i straight up freeze lock bosses to death. nothing other than bosses and the occasional rare will survive more than one shot anyway.

do beware tho that by running off of a full lightning build, you do have a massive discrepancy in your damage. you'll do between like 3,000-25,000.
windripper is great to do this with because you'll have naturally high crit in order to constantly freeze enemies. with decent multiplier your freeze duration will be significant with its high damage.

I'm a huge fan of Ice Shot with GMP and Chain (with 0% pierce) for crowd clearage. Now that they increased Ice Shot's cone (I believe they did this) it has an even larger effect. Coupled with Frostbite/Elemental Weakness it is very strong. For single target, I just use Ice Shot without multi-arrow support skills.
