Whats the quickest way to get your gems to 20Q?
See title
I'm a casual player who has never got any gem to 20Q so just wondering if there is a good way to do this? Last edited by RaPsKa#4671 on Dec 11, 2015, 2:28:09 AM

As I_No says.
Level 2 sets of your main gems that require 20q, both sets should hit level 20 around 88/89/90 - then you flip one set and use the other until the 20q level high enough to be useful again, then flip the level 20s and use the 18/19L+/20q. Otherwise, roll every gemcutters box you find for a decent amount of "Gems have quality" and be sure to pick up superior gems so you can use the gemcutters recipe. Neither is fast, really, but they are the cheapest and easiest ways. Alternatively, buy 15+ quality gems and level them as you progress through the league, and finish them off with GCPs. == Officially Retired 27/02/2019 == Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years. Best of luck in the future! Last edited by CaptainWaffleIron#2395 on Dec 11, 2015, 2:35:10 AM

" OR buy high quality gem and then add missing quality with GCP. Should be a bit cheaper. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

For a casual player grinding enough to get a gem to level 20 will take quite a bit of time.
Grabbing quality gems and using the 40% recipe would most likely be quicker...and quicker still if the gem already had some quality on it Ancestral Bond. Do note that skill gems do not suffer experience penalty's. This means you can go to Merciless Coast or Mud Flats or Ledge and just wreck for for a few hours and level your skill gems very quickly. Alternatively if you are capable of doing so, you can buy Poorjoy maps and do those to quickly level gems since that map gives increased experience gain by like 150%.

Another source of low-quality gems are masters' shops (their q-gems are usually 5% to 10%), they also became very cheap after 2.0. And if you don't like doing some master's mission you don't even have to actually do it to refresh masters' shop. Just select "Begin mission", and then type "/abandon_daily" in chat - shop will be refreshed.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

Well the faster way is to use 20 x Gemcutter currency. It's fairly expensive but you didn't mention you are on budget. 1 gemcutter provides 1% quality
The cheapest way is the vendor recipe as mentioned above. If playing in standard, buy gems with quality and uses GCP to reach 20 as mentioned above too. |

For a casual Player buying or leveling will be hard, except you play standard league. ;)
I for myself vendor all the low quality for the gem recipe. |

You should have played on darkshrine was super easy to get 20Q gems. I came back to standard with 191 20Q gems and I work full time I play no more then afew hours a day.So 20q gems should be super cheap to buy right now.
