PoE 2 servers are restarting in:

They should be back up in approximately .

are they ever going to optimize memory usage?

@OP I'd still be interested in having a look at your DxDiag, so I think heading back to tech support is a good idea. Remember, the sector of the market represented by your hardware is shrinking, there isn't a lot of benefit in spending the money on development time to cater to it (unlike the desync stuff which was about growing the playerbase).

Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years.

Best of luck in the future!

Don't listen to the idiots saying 4gb isn't enough. It's more than enough.

You may need to do a fresh install of the game by the looks of it though.

EDIT: Turns out it was just one idiot all along.

This program makes wonders, especially on older computers:

The trial version is enough, but if you can buy it or get the crack, so much the better.

Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

IF OP has 32-bit Windows - 4Gb is not enough.
Because it "magically turns" into 3.2Gb (32-bit OS limit)
Not to mention that he can have 50+ processes running (around 20 of which could be useless\trojans\switched off for the gaming time\etc)

I saw people with 8Gb and 32-bit WIN claiming that "game has bad memory optimization", umhm...

So stop calling people "idiots" before you know the whole picture

Hi, try to follow these 2 posts instructions. I think it will fix your problem.

What do you mean that the league is not rewarding or fun? You put in 5 useless items in the device and you get 1 useless item... Oh wait!
/Talisman League(2015/2016)

Oh look, Synthesis League(2019) = Talisman League all over again.

Win 32 bit won't recognize more than 4gb of RAM so telling people to add more is probably not good advice.
playing poe with 2gb ram ddr2 800 supertalent since 2012
i never crash but only dc when im above of 2000mb i restart client and keep on

my journey
Spoiler
act1. 0-1 restarts rarely (i skip lake)

1) It won't recognize more than 3.2Gb normally (as i already mentioned)
2) Where did i suggest to OP "to add more RAM"?
3) I was referring to elitedesolator. Thank you, BackwoodsS, for your post.
Don't know its purpose though...

P.S. yes, there are people who managed (and still manage) to play on 32-bit OS and\or with less than 4Gb memory.
The difference is that they are fully aware of the methods "how to get maximum of my system spec".
I also used to play some online (and offline) games on really weak PC. But it required a lot of tweaking (software mostly), changing .ini files, etc.

I play with 4gb ram without any errors.
I have played on 2gb ram and had occasionaly crashes (mostly when entering barracks, lunaris 2 or portal to piety toom in lunaris 2) with chrome running youtube or twitch in background.

Yes. In Path of Exile 2.

I play with 4 GB ram on 64-bit, no big problems and all settings maxed on 1080p. The only downside is relatively slow loading times and lag spikes, but an SSD would help more. I feel your pain OP, got this computer in 2013 and it's starting to fail on me while gaming, PoE's fps is declining slowly with each month passing, but I luckily I got used to it and never play in parties.

You will eventually have to upgrade if PoE becomes memory-hungry (and I bet it will).

P.S. Why the fuck do people still say everything will be fixed in Path of Exile 2, there will be NO PoE 2!
