6 new Divination Cards for 2.1.0, but what about drop rates?

So we're getting 6 new DCs when 2.1.0 comes out, but that again just fuels the drop rate debate. First, thank you GGG for the 4x drop rate increase from a few patches ago. I certainly appreciate the change as I personally don't like starvation as an arpg design in the name of "hardcore".

That said the more DCs we have available the more full sets we can collect. Or can we? I've posted before that DCs are in generally a good game feature but as more and more are added we are getting a lower chance to collect a set for time played. For example if the drop rate is set at, which for discussion sake let's say that it is approximately 1 per 2 hours played (the real drop rate is not important here). If there are 10 DCs then I should get a 1 in 10 chance of a particular card to drop. If there are 20 DCs I have a 1 in 20 chance of getting a specific DC to drop so my chance of aquiring a full set to turn in has just been cut in half (auto nerf). So as more DCs are released the total pool of cards is higher so a specific cards drop chance will be lower. I do know that some (all?) DCs can only drop in specific zones so that further complicates the drop rate for that specific card. One question I have is that if GGG added a DC to a zone that already has a specific DC that can drop (so now there are 2 cards that can drop in the same zone) is GGG doubling the drop rate such that my odds of getting 1 of the 2 cards to drop is the same? I don't believe that GGG is doing anything like that and thus with more cards available then when a card is added to a zone that already has a card that can drop in it then we are being subjected to an automatic nerf. If, on the other hand GGG is only placing the new cards in zones that currently have no card drops then all my concerns are unwarranted. Do we know if GGG is only adding the new DCs in zones that currently have no card drops or are some being added to existing card drop zones? And if new cards are being added in to zones which already have DC cards is GGG then increasing the overall drop rate to compensate for the higher quantity of possible cards that can drop which results in an automatic lowering of our chance to get a specific card to drop? To be blunt, I wouldn't put it past GGG to add more DCs to zones that already have DCs that drop and not increase the drop rate thus creating an auto-nerf for each card in that zone. Some one with more insight and knowledge (preferably a GGG employee) needs to clarify this.

Edit: After thinking on this more, I think GGG has a drop rate factor for each DC and thus each card does not have the same chance of dropping. Makes sense as some cards are move valuable than others and thus their drop rates should be lower. But that still leaves the question of how GGG computes the drop chance as more cards are added to the same zone?

there was a GGG response in a thread about the same question some weeks ago, saying new DCs wont affect the droprates of current DCs. then again no idea where are they eating their droprate space but..

It's worth noting that as we add new cards, we don't reduce the drop rates of existing ones. As we double and later triple the number of cards in the game, the overall number of cards that players find double and triple also.

found it in some random thread and it was already quoted, i think its from that large Q/A they held

AFAIK, drop chance of card is determined upon completion of card design and doesnt change when new div cards are out. So the chance to get a particular div card is always the same unless it's specifically nerfed in subsequent patches.

You're worried. We acknowledge that. But you're really worried about something so unimportant that it makes us wonder why you took the time to write such a long post on the issue.
