[Guide] Knuckle-Sandwich-Humming-Top / Ohrfeigenbrummkreisel - AKA Facebreaking Cycloner

Hello girls and girls with shlongs,

I love the sweet facebreaker gloves and one day I will be able to buy the 1k ones (insert drolling smiles here)
Thus I am playing a lot with facebreakers and thought I might share my build and ideas.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
- No need to prelevel up to 80 levels to switch to our mainbuild!
- Quite cheap equipment and very affordable
- We can go though most content without even attacking manually thanks to counter attacks
- No stress in rolling a good weapon, as we don't need one
- Only one button needed for everything, since Cyclone lets us move too. So you can clear a map fully by just holding down one single button.

Cons:
- Physical reflect will kill us quickly

What is Facebreaker

Those are some facebreakers. As you can see, they have a big multiplier for "Unarmed Physical Damage" and this is what it is about: Playing without weapons. You say, that is impossible? It is not!
Due to the high multiplier all flat physical damage gets quite high, even the non legacy Facebreakers which can get up to 800% are already enough to get you everywhere in the game.

Just so you know, my gear is by far not perfect, it's even below par but I am almost immortal to most situations:

Spoiler

Let's get to details about the Gear:

Helmet

No questions asked, this is THE helmet for us. 40-60 Flat damage is an insane bonus to our damage. There is no alternative to this.
(Example from the Darkshrine with Level 60 and 761% Facebreakers)

WITHOUT Abyssus:

WITH Abyssus:

Armor

Since we don't have a weapon, our cyclone radius is not the widest and thus the carcass is the best option for us. We can also use the Belly of the Beast for a nice and cheap Healthbonus

Belt

This belt and no other. The non Legacyversion is great, too. But if you can, use a legacy one.

Gloves

If you REALLY needed to open this Spoilertag, you seem not to know what thread this is, huh? But just to have a complete set:

Amulet
Here you have a very broad choice and should concentrate on anything you are still missing, but always include flat physical damage. Also nice to have is Strength and Life.

Rings
Best rings are Iron Rings with extra flat physical damage, tri-res and Life.

Boots
Rainbowstride

Those are for my build the best I could find until now, yes they don't have Stats we need BUT we have Tri-Res, Movementspeed and 20-25% of our Block Chance applied to Spellblock! This is important.

Shields

We are using two shields. Lioneyes for standard situations and the Saffell for Magic Damage bosses like Piety.

Now we're coming to the Gems, we are using.

Cyclone

This is our set of gems in our armor. From left to right in order of priority.
Cyclone is the main gem, because we want to cyclone, pretty self-explanatory.
Faster Attacks is to spin faster and get more damage.
Fortify is a great damage giver and also gives us a good defense boost and since it's linked to our mainattack it will be active all the time.
Blood Magic gets interesting because we can use all our mana for auras.
Melee Physical Damage is quite self-explanatory, too. More damage.
Concentrated Effect will give Cyclone another big boost, too. But only take it when you have carcass jack or can live and work with a small radius. If you use any other armor I really suggest in taking Added Fire Damage.

Auras

We are using Hatred and Determination as our Auras and as soon as you have a level 2 Enlighten we also start using Blood Rage.
Thanks to hatred we get an additional bonus damage by percent of our physical damage. This also allows us to chill and freeze our enemies and with that also allow us to shatter them, so they can't be detonated or re-raised, which is a great extra layer of security for us.
Determination will raise our Armor by a huge amount, which will also counter the extra damage we receive from our helmet.
Last, but not least is the Blood Rage. This gem gives us 3 great bonuses. Firstly it will raise our attack speed, gives us frenzy charges which also raise our attackspeed even more! and lastly gives us also a good amount of extra life leech. The downside is almost non existant, as the degeneration from life and energy shield are being countered from our lifeleech, life per second and our counter skills.

Riposte

As you can see, Riposte, our first counter skill, will kill everything with under 10% HP left and give you some life per enemies hit, which gets spread via Melee Splash. The more enemies are around you, the more instant heal you get!

Reckoning

This counter will hit all enemies in a cone, no matter if it was a melee or ranged attack. Thanks to Endurance Charge on Stun you get your charges for free, riposte is too weak for that. Thanks to Life Leech you'll get some life back and thanks to Melee Physical Damage the amount of leeched life gets raised!

So, whats the deal with Reckoning and Riposte and why do we use them, instead of other Attacks or supports ? Easy. The combination of those attacks allows us permanently to gain life and clear whole mob groups often before we even arrive. You can even walk through whole maps, without even attacking and still clear everything out!
Since we use a second shield for Magic Damage, we can even kill and survive boss fights without having to worry of dying. This makes this build also very HC viable!

If you have any questions about this build, just ask and I'll try to answer as good as possible :)

edit: Rest will be added later. The forum just cut all my text after the auras without info... >.<

Showcase Videos

Video of The Dried Lake without using anything else than the Counter Skills.

Second run through The Dried Lake in Merciless.
This time with map and stats open permanently, so no one thinks this was normal or cruel. Also with the wrong CWDT Setup gems so my def was much worse than it should be. Normally I use the setup mentioned in the guide, so a CWDT on Level 1 so the Warlord and Immortal Call proc 4 times as much you see here.

Dry Peninsula with fun mods.

Tier 11 - Precinct run
As you can see, even a Tier 11 map is no problem at all!

Riposte is useless, get CWDT set up.

Aside from that, your tree is inefficient. Too many points for a little more block chance.

Replace Rainbowstrides with Armor/HP/Tri-res/Movespeed boots

Check out the other facebreaker builds at the front page of the duelist forum.
Is that video merciless dried lake? looks like cruel to me

I don't want to follow other guides in this build. I want to try my own thing and for MY build Rainbowstride is important, as the ~12% (Later more) chance of countering to magic is needed. Both counter attacks are life givers and trigger while the other is on cooldown. Running only one is a way, but not in the way I want to go with this build :)

Yes, this is Merciless. In cruel Voll would have been a twoshot.

2k armor at level 80 is terrible, the use of a abyssus without very high armor or a lightning coil to counter the increased physical damage taken is a bad idea, carcass jack is definitely inferior to an astral with loads of armor or a lightning coil, considering you make an attempt to stack armor according to your passive tree (coil is probably the best option). You grab 152% max life (at level 100!), and 152% just doesn't cut it in mid/high tier maps, you should be aiming for at least 180%.

You also grab no chaos resistance on gear, and having absolutely no chaos res means chaos damage in higher content will destroy you.

The passive tree is rather inefficient, you choose to to get inefficient dps nodes and bad clusters like lust for carnage, which leads to an unoptimized end game tree.

You should probably show defense page using your lioneye's remorse shield instead of having a safell's on, as safell's is probably only going to be swapped for heavy elemental damage bosses..
Anyone considering following this "guide" should at least have a look at this one:

At the moment my Life is totally not an issue. Sure, other guides do more HP but until now I can't seem to see any use in that. Can't speak for T12+ as I don't have any maps for testing those. If it gets bad later on, I will surely rework the tree, until then I can't see any reason to invest more. I rather have a high regeneration and life from my attacks, as this works best for the way I play :)

I can Cyclone myself in T10 Maps into chaosbond mobs while they stand in desecrated ground and don't drop in HP much. At the moment I had no need in that. Also as stated, my gear is by far not finished. This gets updated when I find better stuff :)

The Lust for Carnage is intendet, to maximize the Life per Hit, which is quite nice with such a mass hitting from Cyclone.

Thanks for the note about the defense screen. Forgot the second one with Lioneyes. (added the stats with lioneye's)
