Beginner Guide: How to progress efficiently

Hello :)

I'm not sure if this will receive biased opinions (what doesnt in a public forum ;) ) but, anything to help those who are struggling, right? <3

Anyway, lets begin, this guide will be pretty bland, but ill try my best :3

PS: There might be a better guide, but this is from my perspective :3

Act One: Twilight Strand

So, everyone starts in this zone, each class has a specific starting gem that can be swapped out later on, its mostly used to kill the boss Hillock

The list below indicates which gems are allocated to the class after you kill that first zombie :)

Shadow: Viper Strike
Witch: Fireball
Templar: Glacial Hammer
Marauder: Heavy Strike
Duelist: Double Strike
Ranger: Burning Arrow
Scion: Spectral Throw

Now, once you kill Hillock with your selected class, head into Lioneye's Watch and speak to the NPC "Tarkleigh" As he will give you a quest reward, that quest reward being more skills! :D

Now, the first optional quest you will encounter will be with "Nessa", she will give you a quest called "Medicine Chest", its fairly straight forward... but, its optional, so, i will explain this later on, because, this is progression, not completion ;)

Act One: The Coast

After you speak with Tarkleigh, move into "The Coast" and only focus on the packs, dont bother with the individual monsters just, walking around endlessly. (HINT: If its your first playthrough, get AoE attack gems just to kill packs much more efficiently :) be sure to keep your starter gems for single target damage :) Once you reach the end, grab the waypoint and proceed to "The Mud Flats"

Unique Bosses you may encounter while running through this zone: Fire Fury

Act One: Mud Flats

This zone is fairly straight forward, focus on grabbing these quest items that look like sea shells (i suppose they are in a way) You can see these areas just by looking for streams which either lead to the ocean, or to a small nest. Here is a very low quality screenshot (DAMNIT LIGHTSHOT, YOU HAD ONE JOB) showing what i mean, and how to spot it: Screenshot

Once you get all 3 "shells" start looking for This little area on the map, activate the wall, and enter the next zone :)

Act One: The Submerged Passage

This bit is pretty straight forward, i don't think any screenshots are necessary, basically, look for a side zone called "The Flooded Depths" Once you enter that zone, kill the unique crab The Deep Dweller and use a portal scroll (if you have one) to go back to town and receive the reward "Skill point" from Tarkleigh

Once you have done that, re-enter your portal, and trace back your steps until you're back in the Submerged Passage. From then on, head down (like, lower right of your screen down) until you cross a bridge, then head upper right on your screen, to "The Ledge"

Act One: The Ledge

This zone is so linear it puts Call of Duty campaigns to shame, just kill the bosses along the ledge, kill the easy fat totem thing "Kuduku, the false god" amd continue onto "The Climb" (Sorry, i had to ;))

Act One: The Climb

This zone is also straight forward. Just, climb... You will face many goats, skeletons, and this mean unique boss called Ironpoint the Forsaken, but, he is pretty ezmode. Once you destroyed him, continue onwards towards "The Prison"

Act One: The Prison

This area consists of two consecutive zones, The Prison, and the Upper Prison, Both areas are straight forward, its a typical dungeon style layout, so, run around, kill stuff, and head towards "Brutus"... The first major boss you will face in your adventures!

Unique Bosses:
The Prison: Chatters
Upper Prison: Sawbones

Brutus will be located in his own zone, so if you can't find him in the Upper Prison, thats good, because he isn't meant to be there, he is in the next zone, located in Upper Prison, i completely forgot the name of the zone, so, maybe someone can tell me.. its late here and im like, trying to stay awake with Coke, but, ugh... ANYWAY Brutus is fairly easy... he has a slam skill which you need to look out for, and a chain-pull skill you need to look out for... overall it should be easy... most beginners rip once or twice, its okay, we have all been there :)

Once you have slain the Warden, head towards the exit, and enter sandman... err.. i mean, "Prisoners Gate"

Act One: Prisoners Gate

This area is also straight forward... you can either head down the ledge and continue on, or you can continue along the path, see Piety, see what she does for lore sakes, and then continue down the ledge path...

Unique Bosses:
The Guardian of the Mound (Dangerous, requires alot of resistance in fire and lightning to take minimal damage)
The Burning Menace (Easy, compared to the goat thing...)

Once you have reached the end, enter the zone "Ship Graveyard"

Act One: Ship Graveyard

This parts easy, look for a shipwreck which has a cave in the middle of it (You can't miss it, its a huge ass hole in the middle of a medium sized ship ;))

Once you enter, look for this glowy dead body, if you step towards it, a unique water element pops out of the ground and attacks you, but don't worry, its terribly easy... like, pwah, ezmode engaged.

Once you kill that water element, interact with the dead body, it will pop out a Lantern, pick it up and exit the zone.

Once you're out, look for fairgraves, he's easy to spot because a huge chunk of the map will be unlocked, ill leave a screenshot for this, as the general look on the map is very similar :)

Screenshot

Anyway, find this place, kill fairgraves, he's straight forward, once you've killed him, head toward the next zone "The Cavern of Wrath" (normally if you follow the coastline, youll find it, but sometimes its sneaky and it tucks itself into the walls)

Act One: The Cavern of Wrath

Once you get the waypoint in this zone, head back to town, talk to Bestel, he will give you the reward for killing fairgraves "Skill point" then talk to Nessa, she will give you some more gems :)

Head back towards "The Cavern of Wrath" and just follow until you hit the next zone, once you hit the next zone, just follow that until you hit Merveils area, its all pretty straight forward.

Hint: Make sure you have sufficient cold resistance, as Merveil uses cold based attacks. There are 2 stages, one stage where she just blasts you with ice projectiles, and the other stage where she summons water spirals, both stages are fairly straight forward, no certain tactic apart from dodge when needed, and attack whenever you can!

Once you killed her... CONGRATS, YOU FINISHED ACT 1!

Now, onto the next Act, Exile!

(PS: Im tired... so, if it starts to look rushed, i apologise :/ this is the longest guide ive written, ever! xD)

Act Two: The Southern Forest

This Zone is straightforward, just, head towards the end of the zone, kill monkeys, leave them alone, whatever, i prefer killing them in packs, as per usual :)

Once you're done with this, enter the zone "The Forest Encampment", Yup, this is your new home ;)

Once you enter the encampment, head left, into the zone "The Riverways"

Act Two: The Riverways

Since 2.0, this zone got very easy (Because the waypoint is opposite of the stone path you will be needing to travel later on)

Basically, head towards the end, there will be broken bridges, so just either blink arrow, leap slam, or lightning warp over it (if you have those gems, if not, there are logs and stepping stones you can use if you follow the river up or down.)

Once you reach the end, enter the zone "The Western Forest"

Act Two: The Western Forest

This is where you get 3 quests done at once, pretty much, its my favourite part of act two, to be honest :P

So, firstly, head down the path, grab the waypoint, continue going down the path, keep an eye out for a stone path (similar to the one near the waypoint back in "The Riverways". That will lead you to a bandit named "Alira" where you choose to help, or kill her

Hint: Fire Resistance is somewhat helpful in this zone, as you have bandits that explode next to you, dealing fire damage

Once you hit a barricaded area, kill the unique Blackguard, pick up the quest item, and use it on the wall device (if you continue further into their little campsite, you will see it on a wall)

Once you have done that, head back up the main path, look for that stone path, follow it, you will find a bandit camp, its up to you (or the build guide you are following) to help, or to kill her. If you choose to kill her, pick up the quest item.

after you have done your business in that small camp, head back out onto the main path, and look for spider webs on the ground and in the trees, this is an indication that you are near "The Weavers Chambers" Which is another quest you will be doing. Enter that area, look for the next little zone that will transition you to the boss fight... The Weaver is a very annoying boss, it can hurt alot, and it has tonnes of life, so, be careful, you may die a few times, this boss is basically "Brutus" back in Act One. (I'm not entirely sure if Weavers spit is chaos damage, or physical... i should research this, but either way, it hurts everyone :P)

Once you have done this, pick up the spike on the floor (quest item) and teleport back home.

Once home, talk to Silk for the weaver reward (gem) and then head back to act one for an additional skill point from bestel.

To transition from each act, there are tabs in the waypoint menu :))

Now, once you have received that skill point, allocate it and then head back to Act two, then head right towards "The Old Fields"

Act Two: The Old Fields

This zone is fairly easy, look for a place called "The Den" enter it, look for "the great white beast" and then kill him, then leave the Den... then continue on the path of glory and righteousness.

You will encounter a massive rock beast thing, just ignore him, give him no love whatsoever, just walk past him, dont even make eye contact... wherever his eyes are.

Once you reach the end, enter the zone "The Crossroads"

Act Two: The Crossroads

This is pretty simple... go along the path until you reach the waypoint, from that waypoint, go left/up and continue until it reaches nothing but cliffs, keep going up those cliffs until you reach a place called "Chamber of Sins Level 1", enter it.

Act Two: Chamber of Sins Level 1+2

This parts simple, look for stairs going down, thats all...

But a little hint from someone who loves getting that little bit of experience, look for rooms where it may look like there is a staircase, but there isnt, because there is a magic mob there (blue mob), lots of exp! There is always 2 rooms like this, then the actual room, which is the real staircase because you can enter "Level 2"

In level 2, take the waypoint for some reason (instinct for me xD) and then head up, look for a small corridor on the right hand side of each room, this will be the way to the boss "Fidelitas" who will be using lightning based skills, so, lightning resistance is important here. Once you kill that boss, Go to the device in that fight area, interact with it, pick up the gem, then talk to Helena, and then teleport home.

Talk to Greust, and make sure he doesn't spit on you, because he will, eventually... he will give you a reward, then from there, focus on the bandits.. (In every guide, there will be a "Bandits" Section which tells you who to kill or help in each consecutive difficulty, it may vary from build to build who you help.)

From here, go to the towns waypoint, and travel to "The Crossroads", From there, Travel up/right and reach "The Broken Bridge"

Act Two: The Broken Bridge

This is straight forward, travel along the path, take the waypoint, cross the apparent broken bridge and do your thing with Kraytin. Once done (again, if you killed, pick up the quest item), head back to town, and then go back to the waypoint (again) and travel to "The Riverways".

Once there, travel up that stone path, and enter "The Wetlands"

Act Two: The Wetlands

From here, go up/left and look for this closed off zone, this is where the last bandit "Oak" is, do your business with him (if you kill him, pick up the last quest piece, and bring it back to Eramir, he will give you a skill point) and then leave the camp, and head left until you find the next zone, you will know you're at that zone, when you see a waypoint, and a tiny path leading into this small cave thing, interact with the roots, they will move aside, and then you can enter the zone "Vaal Ruins"

Act Two: Vaal Ruins

This is also very straight forward, keep progressing until you find a zone blocked off by this big ass ball, interact with it, it will tumble off the walkway into the endless drop, and continue onto the next zone "The Northern Forest"

Act Two: The Northern Forest

This is pretty linear, just keep following the coast pretty much :) thats it! Keep an eye out for the unique snake boss which is... avoidable, and somewhat medium difficulty to kill

Once you reach the end, enter the zone "The Caverns"

Act Two: The Caverns

Also very straight forward. Progress through the caverns until you reach an area which transitions to a ruins type tileset, grab the waypoint and interact with the door. (by this point, you should have the quest item "The Apex" (acquired from killing all the bandits and talking to eramir, or from killing 2, helping the last one, who will then give you the Apex)

The rest is easy, climb climb climb (there are a set of staircases that go up, you will know you're close to the boss when the areas get smaller.

Act Two: Top of the Ancient Pyramid"

Once you're at the top, youll see an empty room, go to the middle, and activate the "Dark Altar", wait a while and be prepared to face a monstrosity that was locked away for a looooong time (i think, idunno, i dont get the lore >_>)

The Vaal Overseer Fight is pretty simple, he has a few attacks, one is when he winds up and slams the floor, you best avoid that. he can summon monsters to fight alongside him, just kill the monsters and continue on with the fight... he can also shoot freakin' laser beams, just keep running in circles, each attack is predictable by the arm he/she/it uses.

Once you have killed him, loot the stuff, then continue onto the next act!

Act Three: City of Sarn

(holy crap this guide is long >_>)

Once you enter this zone, just progress through until you meet a few blackguards, kill them, and wait for Clarissa to get up. talk to her, then continue... behind her should be stairs going down though, thats the best option, so, go down those stairs and then enter the next zone "The Sarn Encampment"

Once there, follow the makeshift path until you reach "The Slums", you may enter.

Act Three: The Slums

This parts also straightforward, but you can get lost, so, hang in there kitty!

You will see a sewer grate, keep in mind where that location is, because that will be where you will be heading next.

Continue on until you come across some makeshift paths made by planks... follow them until you reach a flat area, then a zone called "The Crematorium" Enter.

Act Three: The Crematorium

This is straightforward (if i had an exalt for every time i said that, i would be able to afford stuff) Just look for a room with a pile of bodies, with a sheet over it, this is where piety is (you dont kill her here, you just scare her off... ;))

Fight her guards, fight her to approx half health, she teleports away, interact with the device, grab the bracelet/necklace thing, whatever it is, then head back to town via portal.

Once there, talk to Clarissa, who will give you keys to the sewers you say in "The Slums" and then talk to Maramoa, who will give you skill gems.

Once thats done, head back into the slums, look for the sewers, open it, and get in there.

Act Three: The Slums Sewers

progress through the sewers until you see a large room, in the middle should be an stone slab thing, interact with it, grab the bust, and move towards the next zone (no certain area, just explore this zone until you find it), beware of the leaping unique boss with the chaos aura... it hurts, its a bitch, just, ignore it and run.

Once you find "The Warehouse Sewers" Enter.

Act Three: The Warehouse Sewers

Same thing, look for a big ass room with the stone slab in the middle, interact, get the bust, (dont forget to get a waypoint, youll know you're near a waypoint first when you stutter for a second (if you dont stutter for a second, you're lucky ;)) but you will see it eventually :)

Once you get the bust, and the waypoint, look for "The warehouse district", which should be in the areas after the waypoint.

once you find it, enter.

Act Three: The Warehouse District

This place can be confusing, but my main tip here is to continue up/left through the buildings until you reach a dead endish sort of wall, you may encounter Legionnaires who attack you with a variety of spells/skills, they're easy though.

Once you find "The Marketplace" enter.

Act Three: The Marketplace

This is very easy, since you wont be spending much time here. Once you enter, look for sewers in the first half of the zone (you will know its the first half, because its seperated by a walkway full of statues, its easily distinguishable compared to the usual statues.) Once you find the sewers, enter it...

I think of this place as part of the marketplace, so, its all one zone in a way, anyway, you're in the sewers, look for the bust, in that big room from the other sewers, same deal, then exit through a different exit... its somewhere there :)

Once you exit and you're back in the Marketplace, look for the waypoint (should be in those small... arched off room things...) once you find it, go back to town, and talk to Hargan, he will give you a skill point and 2 respec points for the 3 busts. (The three busts are all located in 3 different sewers, Slum sewers, Warehouse Sewers, and Marketplace Sewers)

Once you get the skill point and its allocated, go back to the marketplace via waypoint, and scout the walls for an opening, this will lead you to "The Battlefront". Enter.

Act Three: The Battlefront

Once you're there, look for stairs going up the first layer, then head left, until you find a wagon sort of interact-able thing, kill the guards guarding it, then interact with it, pick up the quest item, and look for the waypoint (its on the same layer as you are on now, where the wagon is, so, head right, and look around)

Once you find the waypoint, head back to the wagon, or down left, then head left/up until you find the zone "The Docks". Enter.

Act Three: The Docks

This place is mostly fire damage, so, if you have high fire resistance youll do fine.

look for the next interact-able object (found at the end of the piers) and interact with it, get the quest item, and then teleport out of there. Once home, teleport back to "The Battlefront" and head up/right, climb the layers until you reach this neat little area filled with deadly ribbons, once you're there, look for stairs going up, the zone is called "Solaris Temple" Once there, enter.

Act Three: Solaris Temple Level 1+2

Basically, follow the area until you reach staircases going down, once you go down those stairs, you're in level 2, so, follow the area until you find 4 burners/torches... this is a sign that you are right near the quest location, just go past the torches, you will find a waypoint, from there, go up the stairs and talk to Dialla, she will give you a necklace, and fuse the 2 quest items together to make this infernal talc thing.

Once thats done, go back to the waypoint, and go back to "the warehouse sewers" from there, go down/left, then up/left to burn that blockage thing... continue on through that area to "The Ebony Barracks"

Act Three: The Ebony Barracks

Once there, head left/up and proceed up the stairs, dont forget to grab the waypoint. keep going until you see red carpet (huehue) and then you will meet Gravicius, defeat him, and dont go back to town yet... Once you killed him, continue upwards until you meet the next zone, called "Lunaris Temple Level 1"

Act Three: Lunaris Temple Level 1+2

From there, its just progressing through the area.... be careful of this butthole named "Kole", he likes to one shot noobs, to, run, run, run! Eventually youll find stairs going down (after Kole), dont forget to get that waypoint, and go home to get the quest reward from Maramoa. Once thats done, head downstairs, onto level 2...

The easiest way to navigate this zone is to look for pathways going up, you will go up 3 times before you meet a flatter ground, once there, proceed through 2 huge gates, and one smaller one. Once you proceed through the smaller gate, head up the stairs and enter the portal (red thing on the ground)

This is the piety fight... something everyone wants to do because of the quest reward (2 skill points)

She is fairly straight forward, she has 3 forms, her standard humanoid form, her ice form which shoots GMP Ice shots which hurt... and her fire form which is fast and just does nice amounts of melee damage.. death is normal in this area, because well, learning experience! anyway, once shes dead, pick up the tower key, and head home for the celebration.

loljks, no one cares that much (NPC wise, i care, because, congrats n stuff), talk to Grigor (at the end (left area) of the town, he will give the quest rewards... from there, teleport back to "The Ebony Barracks" and head right/up until you see the next zone "The Imperial Gardens" Enter.

Act Three: The Imperial Gardens

This is pretty easy, follow the path until you meet an intersection, go left a bit until you see the waypoint, activate it, then go right, then up, and, well, follow the path pretty much :P

Once you reach the tower, use the key on it, and enter "The Sceptre of God"

Act Three: The Sceptre of God

This part is simple, albeit annoying. The trick to these areas is, look for corner rooms, (as the zones are all circular, think of it as pizza... the corner pieces are the best! (not always true, but, in this case, it is)

Go up up up up up until you reach a rainy rooftop, you will find Dominus there, you will die a few times here, so, its okay.. we all do it :)

You will fight 7 bosses total in this one zone... the first three are tri-elemental, so, one is fire, one is ice, the other one is lightning, taking them out in any order is okay.

Then you will slowly release these monstrous fast things... the first one (i think) will lash at you, like a whip, the second will do those minigun dart things, and the third will reave you.

Once you obliterate them, Dominus will be super pissed, so, he will float down, and start attacking

Dominus First Phase

He can power slam his fists, you can tell by him saying "Touch of God" or something along those lines... these can one shot you, so, avoid!

He can fire these lightning bolts at you, so, hiding behind something solid is a good idea

He can summon totems that are linked with a freeze/chill version of Seering Bond, so, destroy them if you're trapped in it

He can also teleport to you, but he stops momentarily for some reason, this is a good chance to deal damage

once you're done, enter phase 2

Dominus Second Phase

Once you're done with first phase, he will teleport to the lower/left quadrant of the rooftop, and transform into this worm looking thing, stay close to him at all costs, because his blood rain will cause bleeding, and that can hurt if you dont have the proper flasks.

Once you're done, Dialla will teleport to you, and say stuff, ignore her, coz, NPC's n stuff, not important, efficiency people!

The next zone will unlock called "The Aquaducts" and its basically the start to Act 4!

Act Four: The Aquaducts

Everything act 4 is simple, like, holy shit.

So, with aquaducts, just follow along until the end, boom, town, congrats, woop woop.

No but for reals, level a bit in the aquaducts, maybe until level 35 :)

Once done, Enter 420gate (Highgate, huehue)

Once you have entered highgate, the town of Act 4, head left and down towards "The Dried Lake", enter.

Act Four: The Dried Lake

(i gotta hurry this up, its almost 5:30 am, holy poop)

This is an open area, so, farming is okay here, head down/right until you meet a dead endish area, follow the deadend area until you find a huge circular arena thing, enter it, fight Voll's (he has 2 main attacks, a charge, and a slam, avoid both)

Kill Volls, pick up the banner, teleport home

Once home, go up and interact with the gate, then go right, and up the stairs, talk to the 2 NPC's, who will give you a golem/warcry, pick your poison, then enter "The Mines"

Act Four: The Mines Level 1+2

This is easy, just keep going through the area, kill stuff, loot stuff... enter level 2... once in level 2, look for a spirit, its guarded by a unique boss that uses an alternate version of Spectral Throw, you can avoid him though, just run past him, click on the spirit, and continue on... the spirit can be located anywhere, but its in level 2 for sure.

Continue on until you reach "The Crystal veins" zone, enter.

Act Four: The Crystal Veins

This is also easy, just keep going until you see pipes or a steam punk-esque area, grab the waypoint, dont bother talking to Dialla, just go into Daresso's Dream.

Act Four: Daresso's Dream

Once you're in this arena style zone, continue on until you see triangular flags/banners hanging off a line... put up a portal here, this is where you fight Barkhul, one of the most unbalanced things ever, anyway, try to kill him, if you cant, get a friend to help you, we all hate him, so, its okay to feel anger.

Once him and his unlimited legions of birds and dogs are dead, go to the next zone "The Grand Arena"

Once there, follow along until you go through 2 arenas, once you exit the second arena, go up in the next corridor to enter a trio-boss fight, all of them using the combat triangle (melee, ranged and mage)

This is easy... just kill them, avoid their stuff, ezmode

Dont keep your guard down though, oooooh no... coz, Daressos and asshat, and he hurts alot... so, to kill him... or to even meet him, continue on through the corridor, he will talk a bit, and then you enter his battle arena...

his fight is complicated... so, try to keep up with the short hand writing, im so tired >_>

He has a few attacks, he can split up and rush you from each side, best thing to do is to run

he can use a 4 multi-reave attack, which hurts alot, he can have a charged attack, and he can leave spinning swords which do damage over time...

Each time you get him below 25% or 1/4 health, he heals and gets faster, annoying... ikr?

just repeat it 4 times and you kill him, you will die though... Kaom's is easier, trust me. Don't forget to pick up the quest item.

teleport out, and back into "The Crystal Veins" from there, enter Kaom's Dream.

Act Four: Kaom's Dream

This part is simple, just progress through all the zones until you reach Kaom's Stronghold... i know this seems lazy, but trust me, this zone is not worth farming xD

Kaom has only 2 main attacks, a leapslam with added AoE, and a ground slam thats a straight line

Avoid the noid, kill him, get the quest item, dundun

Head back to The Crystal Veins, and then talk to Dialla, until she activate the weapon

Once thats done, return home, get the gem reward from the 2 NPC's that gave you the golems, and then go back, enter "The Belly of the beast"

Act Four: The Belly of the Beast 1+2

Ez zones, butthole boss (piety)

basically, go through level 1, then enter level 2, at the end of level 2, you fight piety...

Piety uses a blood orb that does physical/chaos??? damage, and a freakin pukebeam that hurts like hell, just run in circles around her when she does that. other then that, ezkill

talk to her once shes dead, then proceed to "The Harvest"

Act 4: The Harvest (AKA - Holy shit im almost done, oh wait, Cruel and Merciless, f-me...)

^not usually my attitude xD but after doing it like, 4000 times since a4 release, it gets dull :3

Harvest is... easyish... find the waypoint, get it, then go left/down and look for 2 rooms, each will have a boss in it, kill those bosses, then go back to the waypoint, then go right/up, and kill one more boss in one more room.... there are 3 bosses you need to kill

Deodre: Fat thing that has 3 curse circles, Enfeeble, Vulnerability, and temp chains, in my opinion, go with either temp chains or enfeeble, as his attacks hurt with vulnerability (these curses switch places every few seconds)

Shavronnes: Lightning bitch who uses tendrils, and these lightning balls, and has books that summon lightning attacks and stuff, avoid everything, kill her anyway... careful of the thorns

Maligaro: this one is annoying, he has Chaos DoT stuff around him, aswell as traps and stuff, so, careful, thats all you need to know :P

Once you collect the organs from each boss... go back to piety (she wont puke on you, i promise) and then enter Malachai.

Malachai First Phase

I do not know the official names of the attacks, just the visuals...

He does a ground slam, he can do this weird tentacles from another dimension thing, and throw this black thing at you, idk what it is... a squid? idunno

every 1/4 life, Piety attacks you, without the pukebeam, just the spinning circle, but shes easier now, get her to 50% and she is good again, take down malachai another 25%, and same thing repeats... after you kill piety, malachai stabs her, RIP

malachai then hides in this butthole looking thing, enter it, there are 3 hearts, everytime you take down a chunk of Malachais life, he goes to the heart (Clockwise) (starting from the right) So, avoid his stuff, once he is down a chunk, kill the heart on the right, then down a chunk his life, then the one at the bottom, down a chunk of life, then the left one... once they're all dead, now you can kill him :)

Once he's dead, teleport home, talk to dialla and the other chick, then you're onto Cruel!

not to bad could be clearer and cleaner here and there.

why no tidal island section?

its not like first timers are racing and going to skip that
GGG needs a Guide forum section to collect good guides like this
This dude is just bumping his own thread. No clue about what dmg the bosses do and stuff. That is not helpful at all my friend. If a random guy is reading this before his first Piety attempt in BotB with 0% lightning res and not much HP... one shotted. It is just misleading.
I will be adding guides for boss damage and such soon, not in this thread though, but in the forums section... I will also be doing a side quest guide soon also :)

This guide was purely a quick... lolquick.... rundown of the game, and how to progress through it efficiently...

Nice guide for a beginner. Some parts could be explained further, eg in Mines, kill the spirit. Explain that this will give a passive point and also naming the spirit (Deshret) will help.

Also for Merveil, you mentioned cold damage. Perhaps you could add a tip below about buying cold ring aka Sapphire will help tremenously.

Keep up the good work.
