Emberwake ring: How it works ?

Hi there all.

Got 2 emberwakes recently and would like to know how to improve for it cos if u make critic its 100% to chance to ignite, but this ring has special explanation mods. Which build should goes for it this ring ?. Also with which combo items are recommended for to make a better ring ?. T.I.A.

Right, chance to ignite build would work, but crit builds would do it better because of generally higher dps. To take full advantage of the ring you need a fast-hitting spell like Firestorm, Flame totem or Incinerate, I've also seen some builds doing Molten strike and full fire conversion.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

So Flameblast or FB wouldnt work if itself cast build but yes COC maybe ?, cos was thinking on doing a self FB and then to test coc version if can take advantage of it from a build or other.

PD: Also with Anger + HoA will increase the dmg from the ring ?.

There's no point to Emberwake when using strong, slow spells, it will hurt more than help.

Yes, anger will help, you will do more fire damage which means stronger ignites, but HoA wouldn't be terribly good because it ignites on kill so you won't be able to stack many of them. HoA also locks you in an attack build, doesn't ignite with spells.

On the contrary, Emberwake Flameblast with Proliferation will cause all targets to get hit with all ignites. If you hit 5 targets at a time, your burning damage against those targets will actually be better than without Emberwake.

I will admit, however, the Emberwake's true calling is fast/multi-hit skills such as Flame Totem, Molten Strike, Fire Storm, etc.

Sure, but you'd have to get at least five overlaps just to break even (or still be far from even if you're running a crit build), I'd call that fairly pointless.

If you have decent AoE scaling, five overlaps isn't that hard, and you can likely get more on rares. Crit Flameblast doesn't make sense to me as a build. The spread of a Flameblast is actually not that big considering how long it takes to actually deliver the damage.
Mhhh so the COC builds which shots after a critic without u casting itself should be better: fireball, firestorm and magma for example or how ?.

In theory I would say Firestorm because it provides the most hits per second. More hits per second = works better with Emberwake. In theory, at least (because you can stack more and more Ignite effects)

Yeah, Firestorm will provide more Ignites, Fireball will provide better FPS. Fireball also has that new Threshold jewel coming out that's really interesting. The other stat on the jewel is Fire Damage, so your ignites will be better if you go that route, and Projectile damage is, as always, a bit easier to scale than Area damage.
