Interesting, I'll have to see if it's okay to use the USB. It's a work thing, so I'm not sure what the regulations will be regarding any kind of external storage.
That link does not load in I.E., but will load in my other browsers. |

It does the same thing as the previous link, it tries to save it as a file vs loading it as a webpage :(

" Save as File is fine because it means you can at least access the URL (which is a JS file). It doesn't surprise me that it attempts to download it. To me, that means that you've got something else blocking either the JS or something in the browser not allowing it to properly run. |

Hmm, in my other browsers it just opens into a page. Could it be an issue with an out-dated version of I.E.? I believe this laptop is on I.E. 9, if that matters.

Whether it downloads to a file or displays on the page doesn't matter, that's a setting in your browser preferences. I just wanted to see whether your SSL/TLS was working properly, which it is since you can access the url.
Do you have any particular reason to be using an outdated version of Internet Explorer as your browser? You seem to be aware of browsers that work properly. |

He mentioned earlier that it isn't his property, and that he isn't permitted to install another browser, which does suck.
Since this machine is stuck using IE 9, am I right that this could be a machine running Windows XP? "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion
Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet? |

Oh right, I only checked the top post and thought that one was a different thread.
It would be nice if people volunteered as much information as possible, rather than waiting for us to question things. |

Yes, it looks like they are running XP. They aren't able/willing to update the O.S. due to compatibility issues with other programs/hardware I think.
Sorry for the lack of info, I've never had to trouble shoot issues before. I'm not entirely sure of what's relevant or not; I do appreciate the help and patience though. If it's something that can't be fixed without updating, then I'm S.O.L which is fine. Just means I can't be window shopping in my down time. Last edited by Shelk#1298 on Nov 12, 2015, 4:09:28 PM
