Cannot see items on mouse-over in forums

When I look at shops the item images will load along with the "verified" box, but on mouse over no item information generates. Currently I cannot browse shops at all due to this :( .
This only happens to me on my Internet Explorer not any other browser, I've looked through the I.E. settings and cannot find anything that would hint at the problem. Edit: It also looks like I cannot change which character I'm logged in as. The window that shows your characters/items doesn't open, nothing happens. When I click on my portrait. You likely have an extension or something blocking the popover windows.
My recommendation is to not use IE, but if you insist, try disabling all plugins and extensions and see if it works then. |

Another thing to try would be to add PoE to your compatibility view list.

Thank you all for the suggestions, I will give them a try shortly and let you know which ones worked.
I prefer not to use I.E. as I find it's a pretty poor browser. Unfortunately there is a laptop that I use from time to time which I don't own and they don't want me installing new browsers for some silly reason. Edit: Active scripting was already enabled, so that sadly that was not the solution. Edit: I have tried adding pathofexile.com to the compatability list, and that has also not worked. Edit: I have disabled all the add-ons in the browser which still does not help. Looking through the add-on list nothing stands out as something that would prevent any kind of pop-up. There isn't even a pop-up blocker of any kind installed. I'm really scratching my head with this and it's driving me insane. Added information and tried fixes posted.
Edit: Could this have anything to do with flash, or is the popover windows java/scripted? Edit: I'm not sure if this is relevant, but on mouse-over the sockets/links and picture of the gem(s) show, but the gem stats don't pop up either. Last edited by Shelk#1298 on Nov 9, 2015, 9:14:30 PM

Have you tried clearing out your cache? Your browser could be loading a corrupted or outdated page from it, thereby causing you these problems. It's worth a shot in the dark.

That's not going to install anything on the computer. You can find a lot of "portable" versions of the apps you like to use. All of it is javascript.
