Makes your helmet invisible.

That is all.

Most excellent idea.
I would spend money on this. I want to see my flowing locks of hair.
or they just put in the option of disabling the helmet like in all the other games.

LOL, most games I know of have no such option.

Pay to play games usually have it as an option.

It's very common in F2P games that it comes as a cosmetic choice in the cash shop.
I've seen this in a lot of Korean f2ps, and yes I'm ashamed I even tried them. From the top of my head I give you maple story and aika online.

Anyway I can understand that this is something some people would expect as a basic option, but I can also understand GGG needs to make money, and that seems like a pretty good option to me.
It's a purely cosmetic upgrade so I don't see why it couldn't be a microtransaction option. Make it cheap if necessary, like 10 points each. Perhaps make it so it can be stacked with other helm cosmetics, so your character can have a helmet-less halo.

I don't think it would be worth paying for and a lot better suited as an in-game toggle.

The problem with arguing about the intrinsic value of things is that you end up (unintentionally) making a statement about everyone else's values. If you think an item like this would not sell on the microtransaction shop, I think that's wrong. I think it would more than pay for itself, and it would be one of many small things that are good for monetizing the game.

Some people (like you), wouldn't value such a microstransaction, but that's just the way people are. Some value things one way, some another.

Have you paid for any microtransactions at all? If so, which?

One could see this as not having much value as a microtransaction because it wouldn't require much development time at all (you're just making the helm model invisible). Which is why I recommended it be cheap (maybe even 5 points instead of 10) and stackable with other cosmetics on the same slot.
