where are Vaal Corrupted areas?

I was searching for Vaal Reave gem and someone told me I have to go to Vaal Corrupted Area's?
Where can I find Vaal corrupted areas?

They randomly spawn in almost all zones (not in maps). They are kinda uncommon though and their entrance has some kind of red distortion around them, so they are easy to spot.
You can get a vaal corrupted area by putting a fragment in the map device too.

The most common way to farm for vaal gems/frags is to farm docks since it has an easily spot-able corrupted zone.(ledge also works wonders, so linear but lower lvl cap though)

Easiest way to get one though is to simply buy one for 1C if possible :)

1C is the therm commonly utilized in the community to say 1 Chaos orb.(a piece of currency)

To put it bluntly you will acquire the gem faster if you simply buy it from somebody that accidentally found it then to target farm for it. Though farming for it yourself might yield you some good gear and additional wealth in the process.

Chaos is a very basic currency utilized a lot. It is quite easily farm-able but also utilized a lot in the end-game so as a standardized currency it functions pretty good.

Might want to give the PoE-wiki/currency page a go to get more familiar with the different currency's.

In therms of rarity

lowest : transmutes/alterations/augments all scraps

medium : alchemy/chaos/regal/scour/regret/fusings/jewels

high tier : exalts and mirrors

At least to me that's the basis from which i operate.

Telling you currency ratio's would be meaningless since this shifts around constantly. You will learn this by participating in the trade system though, be prepared to make some bad deals and fuck up a bit and learn from those mistakes :).
