Cast when damage taken depend on damage mitigation?

I'm asking for the order of the trigger. Is it before or after damage reduction?

For example, when I receive exactly 528 physical damage but I have 1000 armour, does the cast when damage taken gem on level 1 still trigger?
It's after mitigation, CwDT counts damage that's supposed to get removed from your life pool (but can go other places like ES or mana with MoM).
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

So in other words, armour is bad for the Cwdt gem while damage redirection doesn't affect it in any way?
If 'bad for the gem' means delay casting then yes. Armor, or any type of mitigation, will lower the amount of damage taken. This may delay triggering of cwdt depending on breakpoints/hit/mitigation. Redirecting damage to energy shield or mana still counts as damage taken.
Actually working on a cwdt build. While the armour do counter work the CWDT gem it is quite nice to have a bit of controll instead of losing 3k hp over and over.
