Holy crap Standard League is bad

So I was checking the item prices on the market. Looking for upgrades, killing time before the new league kicks in. What I saw was

- minimal upgrades which cost 10 if not even more times the prices of similar items in the temporary league

- great upgrades with legacy items which cost 100+ times more than what I got my current gear for

So basically if you want to play on standard you need to grind grind grind 100 times more than you did before, its so insane I wonder why there are even people playing with such a crazy and unreal economy in place.

Strange, I've never played standard league at all and yet I have tons of great gear there. Fully linked with leveled gems. It is baffling.
